A four-story hotel is headed to West Central Florida. HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Inn @ Sitka Street will comprise 36,600-square-feet of new construction, resting on a 4.95-acre build site.
Prior to construction commencing in October 2022, the build site was undeveloped––save for some natural Florida wilderness. Upon completion, the multi-million-dollar venture will feature 124 rooms in varying sizes and with various amenities.
BLDUP notes that in addition to the 124 rooms, the four-story venture will also serve as the headquarters of DHRUV Development. The New Port Richey-based firm is also the developer. This is also the developer’s first new-build project, as it generally converts older hotels into more contemporary models.
If the new hotel’s amenities are anything like the 70+ HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Inn locations, they’ll include a swimming pool, fitness center, and meeting areas. Our sources list Woolpert, Inc. ––Cincinnati as the architect. Renderings show a low-rise building with a dark façade and white trim.
Other involved parties include Acertus Consulting Group, Avid Engineering, Inc., and Universal Engineering Sciences. HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Inn @ Sitka Street’s address is 6121 W Sitka St., Tampa, Florida, 33634, in Hillsborough County. It’s directly north of Tampa International Airport.

As a general rule of thumb, Tampa and Hillsborough county are located in west central Florida and not southwest Florida which includes Naples and Ft. Myers. Those points are a 2.5 to 3 hour drive south of Tampa.
