Atlantic Pacific Cos. has broken ground on Culmer Place, an affordable housing complex in Miami-Dade County. Florida YIMBY first reported on the multi-million-dollar project in March 2022.
The seven-story building will offer 239 units, ranging from one-bedroom to five-bedroom layout plans. Residency would be available for those making 30 percent to 80 percent of the area median income which means, according to the South Florida Business Journal, that rent would range from $542 to $4,541 a month.
Communal amenities at Culmer Place include a fitness center, swimming pool, computer room, and club room. Construction is expected to conclude in early 2025. Atlantic Pacific Cos. currently has the 13.7-acre lot under lease with Miami-Dade County.
Corwil Architects designed the project. Atlantic Pacific Cos. is the developer and general contractor. Culmer Place is part of a larger project that aims to breathe life into older housing complexes in the region. What’s more, it’s not the only affordable housing complex in Miami-Dade County.
Recently, Florida YIMBY reported on the Residences at Westview Landings, an 11-story apartment complex offering 130 homes. Residency would be available for those making up to 80 percent of the area median income.
Culmer Place will be located at 800 N.W. Fifth Ave., Miami, FL, 33136, in Miami-Dade County.
