Plans are underway for Junction Townhomes, a housing development in St. Petersburg’s Central Oak Park neighborhood.
Upon completion, the 10-unit development will offer homes measuring 1,378 to 1,600 square feet, with floorplans ranging from one-bedroom to three-bedroom designs. The community will host four low-rise buildings: two duplexes and two triplexes. Prices will likely start in the $600,000s, although this is subject to change given market fluctuations.
According to St. Pete Rising, Junction Townhomes will not offer private garages, but rather, 11 off-street parking spots. St. Petersburg-based Behar + Peteranecz is the architect. Conceptual renderings show “black-and-white chromatic exterior designs and ground-level porches.” But, much like the cost of ownership, this is subject to change.
Seattle-based Heron Properties is the developer. It will present Junction Townhomes to St. Petersburg’s Development Review Commission on July 10th. Construction could start shortly after approval, with the process itself expected to take 18 months.
Junction Townhomes would replace a .42-acre lot that’s currently occupied by a “dilapidated 1938 Tudor home.” Zillow reports that the property sold for $770,000 in October 2022. The president of the Central Oak Park Neighborhood Association says that the location is “essentially in a ‘dead zone.’” The development could spur more businesses to occupy the area.
The 10-unit townhome development could unfold at 3601 1st Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL, 33713, in Pinellas County.
