Related Group’s 41-Story Miami Station Tower Is Approved By The FAA To Rise 539-Feet

The Federal Aviation Administration has approved building permits for Miami Station, a 41-story mixed-use tower at 525 Northwest 2nd Avenue in Downtown Miami’s Overtown District. Designed by ODP Architecture & Design and developed by the Related Group, the structure is permitted to rise 539-feet, or 546-feet above sea level. According to construction permits currently under review, Miami Station will yield approximately 730,000 square feet including an estimated 247,000 square feet of office space, roughly 298,000 square feet of residential space across 301 dwelling units, and a podium comprising nearly 6,000 square feet of ground floor retail and 6 levels of parking for over 500 vehicles. FAA building permits were approved on March 25, 2022, and are valid for the next 18 months, meaning Related has from now until October 25, 2023 to begin vertical construction.

Demolition Permits Issued For 530 Northwest 1st Court In Downtown Miami

Total demolition permits have been issued for an unfinished concrete parking structure at 530 Northwest 1st Court in the Overtown District of Downtown Miami. The 5-story structure has stood on the property since around 2008 and was supposed to support a 29-story office building once known as Logik Tower, which was cancelled due to financial constraints and the recession that proceeded. The interior lot spans 22,500 square feet and is bound by NW 1st Court. on the East, NW 6th Street on the North, and two vacant lots on the West addressed as 525 and 533 NW 2nd Avenue. The permit was approved on February 11, 2022 and marked active by the 14th with The BG Group LLC listed as the general contractor at the cost of $153,930.

Related Group Seeks Approval To Increase Miami Station Tower To 539-Feet In Overtown

The Federal Aviation Administration has received applications for Miami Station, a 41-story mixed-use building planned for 525 Northwest 2nd Avenue in Miami’s Overtown District. The tower has been submitted seeking approvals to rise 539-feet, or 546-feet above sea level, a significant increase from the previously reported 459-feet seen in the most recent UDRB application. Designed by ODP Architecture & Design and developed by the Related Group, the project is expected to yield 752,859 square feet including 200,234 square feet of office space, 309 residential units, 8,508 square feet of retail space and a parking garage for 510 vehicles. Demolition Set To Begin Soon At The Site Of The Upcoming 41-Story Miami Station Tower

Demolition is set to begin on an un unfinished concrete parking garage at the site of the upcoming Miami Station, a 41-story mixed-use tower planned for 525 Northwest 2nd Avenue in Miami’s Overtown District. According to a recent publication on The Next Miami, the Related Group filed a notice of commencement on October 20th stating they will begin to demolish the structure, remnants of the former Krystal Tower that halted construction due to the Great Recession of 2008. BG Group is listed as the demolition contractor for the Miami Station development site.¬†
