Citadel Leases 90,000 Square Feet Across Six Floors At 830 Brickell In Miami’s Financial District

Ken Griffin’s Citadel, a multinational hedge fund and financial services firm, signed the largest office lease to date at the under construction 830 Brickell, a 55-story Class A-Plus office tower that just recently topped off in Miami’s Brickell Financial District. The firm is taking up 90,000 square feet of space across six floors at the 724-foot-tall tower, which is designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gil Architecture with interiors by Iosa Ghini Associati and developed by Vlad Doronin’s OKO Group and Jonathan Goldstein’s Cain International. Construction is expected to complete later this year, anticipated to yield nearly 640,000 square feet of space. Civic Construction is managing construction with Ant Yapi.

OKO Group, Cain International Break Ground On 34-Story One River Luxury Apartment Tower in Downtown Fort Lauderdale

OKO Group and Cain International have broken ground on their next joint venture development, One River Fort Lauderdale, a 34-story tower located at 629 Southeast 5th Avenue that will yield 365,203-square-feet including 251 high-end apartments, 2,600 square feet of ground level retail space and a 6-story, 337-space parking garage. On Friday, July 22nd, a ceremonial groundbreaking was held at the site to commemorate the start of construction. Notable attendees included City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis, and Vice Mayor Ben Sorensen. The groundbreaking announcement follows recent news that the development team secured $97.2 million in financing from Bank OZK and JVP Management to help fund construction of the tower. Just months after signing a 20,000 square-foot lease that will house the firm’s U.S. headquarters, CI Financial has expanded with an additional floor. The new office will total approximately 40,000 square feet. The firm’s expansion further solidifies 830 Brickell as the address of choice for financial, professional services, and global firms looking to establish or grow their presence in South Florida. The 724-foot-tall tower, which is being developed by a joint venture between OKO Group and Cain International, is expected to top out soon and is slated for completion later this year with Civic Construction as the general contractor.
