FAA Review Underway For 595-Foot-Tall Tower At 200 W. Broward Boulevard In Downtown Fort Lauderdale

A September 23rd filing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) shows work is in progress on the review for 200 West Broward Boulevard, a 48-story mixed-use high-rise building planned as the second phase of the Broward Crossing development west of the Florida East Coast Railway tracks in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Broward County. Designed by Adache Group Architects and developed by a partnership between New York-based Kushner Companies and Denver-based Aimco under the K-A 200 Broward JV LLC, the 1.08-acre site on the southwest corner of West Broward Boulevard and Southwest 2nd Avenue would give rise to a 595-foot-tall structure, according to the FAA filing, which would comprise roughly 923,989 square feet of space including 381 residential units, 7,527 square feet of commercial space, around 180,000 square feet of combined amenity, tenant storage, and service spaces, and an 8-story parking garage for 434 vehicles. 200 West Broward Boulevard is destined to become the tallest building in Fort Lauderdale if approved and built, surpassing all existing contenders for the title and the current tallest, the 499-foot-tall 100 Las Olas.

Twin 485-Foot-Tall Towers At 1900 Biscayne Boulevard Approved By The FAA

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued building permits for twin 485-foot-tall residential towers at 1900 Biscayne Boulevard in Edgewater, Miami. The developer behind the efforts is Kushner Companies, who’s developing both of these towers along with a third tower at 2000 Biscayne Boulevard, collectively known as the Edgewater Collective. The FAA approved building permits yesterday, and will be valid for the next 18 months. Plans for the Edgewater Collective include 1,265 residential units and 24,000 square feet of retail space across three towers.

Plans to build Fort Lauderdale’s tallest building have been submitted to the Development Review Committee for 300 West Broward Boulevard, a 48-story mixed-use development proposed to rise in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The property is more specifically located in the Sailboat Bend neighborhood near Las Olas and Beverly Heights, fronting West Broward Boulevard to the north in between Southwest 4th Avenue and Nugent Avenue to the west and east. The tower would conveniently rise approximately 2 blocks away from the Brightline Fort Lauderdale train station and the Riverwalk north of the New River. K-A 300 Broward JV LLC, a joint between New York-based Kushner Companies and Denver-based AIMCO, is listed as the developer – who have the development under contract from FTL/AD LTD. ODA Architecture is listed as the design and landscape architect with Stantec as the architect of record, and Witkin Hults + Partners as the landscape architect of record.

YIMBY Checks In On The Progress Of Kushner’s WYND 27 and WYND 28

YIMBY recently visited the sites of WYND 27 and WYND 28, two mixed-used buildings of 5 and 8 stories currently under construction at 127 Northwest 27th Street and 129 Northwest 26th Street in Wynwood, Miami. Both designed by Arquitectonica and developed by New York City’s Kushner Companies in collaboration with Miami-based Block Capital Group, the project will yield a combined 152 luxury residential units, 46,000 square feet of office space, 33,500 square feet of retail, 232 parking spaces and featuring a courtyard and three roof decks. Beauchamp Construction is the general contractor for both structures.
