The Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed Heron at Water Street Tampa is a duo-tower mixed-use building of 21 and 26 stories located at 815 Water Street within the 56-acre Water Street Tampa mega-development in Downtown Tampa. Developed by Strategic Property Partners (SPP), a joint venture between Jeff Vinik, the current owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Cascade Investment LLC, an entity owned by Bill Gates, the superstructure rises to approximately 247-feet (west tower) and 312-feet (east tower) and conveniently positioned near the waterfront. This component of the mega-development completed and opened to the public earlier this year, yielding 420 luxury rental apartments and approximately 53,000 square feet of ground floor retail.

Tampa-based real estate developer Strategic Property Partners (SPP) officially announced the opening of Thousand & One, a 20-story Class-A commercial office tower located at 1001 Water Street within the nearly 74-acre – $3.5 billion Water Street Tampa mega-development in Downtown Tampa. Designed by New York City’s COOKFOX Architects, the building yields 375,000 square feet of office space and 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, being the first trophy office tower to rise in the city in nearly 30 years. Utilities Deal Signed For Lalezarian Properties’ 53-Story Miami World Tower At Miami Worldcenter

A utilities deal was recently signed between Kevin Lalezarian, on behalf of Miami World Towers LLC, and Miami-Dade County, to connect the proposed 53-story Miami World Tower to the city’s water and sewage system. As per the agreement, the first phase of the development, which is designed by NBWW Architects, will include 565 residential units and a 3,000-square-foot full service restaurant venue. Swerdlow Group And Coastal Construction Break Ground On Block 55 At Sawyers Walk In Overtown, Miami

Coconut Grove-based developer Swerdlow Group, lead by Michael Swerdlow, has officially broken ground on Block 55, a massive 1.4 million square-foot mixed-use development located in Downtown Miami’s Overtown district. The structure will occupy an entire block bounded by NW 3rd Ave. and NW 2nd Ave. measuring nearly 150,000 square feet in total lot area, addressed as 249 Northwest 6th Street and rising right beside the northbound elevated Interstate 95. World-class design firm Arquitectonica is designing the building with Coastal Contruction as the general contractor.

Aston Martin Residences Continues Ascent In To Downtown Miami’s Skyline

Construction continues to make progress on Aston Martin Residences, a 816-foot-tall, 66-story luxury residential skyscraper in Downtown Miami. Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way, and rising on the northern mouth of the Miami River, the building is designed by BMA Arquitectos & Asociados and Revuelta Architecture International, and developed by G&G Business Developments in collaboration with Aston Martin. The development will yield 391 residential units, and is on track to soon become the city’s second tallest building.
