Miami Beach City Commission Votes In Favor Of The Gardens At Lincoln Lane

The City Commission of Miami Beach voted 5-1 in favor of The Gardens at Lincoln Lane, a low-rise mixed-use development slated for South Beach that will comprise just under 130,000 square feet of Class-A office space, 25,000 square feet of street-level retail, and more than 425 easily accessible parking spaces. The project is designed by Brandon Haw Architecture, along with West 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture, and includes a 6-story building on a 0.9-acre lot at 1680 Lenox Avenue, and an 8-story building nearby on a 1.1-acre lot at 1080 Lincoln Lane North in the Lincoln Road District. The Gardens at Lincoln Lane is a joint venture between Starwood Capital Group, Integra Investments and The Comras Company, and the project now moves on to the November ballot, which will seek voter approval.

On July 20th, this past Wednesday, the Miami Beach City Commission voted 5-1 to move forward with the redevelopment plans of the former Deauville Beach Resort site at 6701 Collins Avenue in North Beach, Miami Beach. New York’s Related Companies, the development firm behind Hudson Hards and Deutsche Bank Center led by Stephen Ross, is leading the redevelopment of the property and has released the first glimpse of the proposed project designed by legendary expressionist architect Frank Gehry with a conceptual model unit presented at the commission meeting. The mixed-use project is to be Equinox-branded, and would comprise a 175-key high-end hotel and 150 luxury condominiums spread across two towers. Miami Beach residents are up next to vote on the fate of this project, and will be asked to approve zoning changes for increased height and density on November 8, 2022.

Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi & Partners, two internationally recognized real estate development firms, announced they have received approval from the City of Miami Beach to proceed with the construction of a new 5-story Class A+ office building designed by renowned Spanish master architect Alberto Campo Baeza named The Fifth Miami Beach. It will be Baeza’s first commercial building in the United States. World-renowned architecture firm Gabellini Sheppard Associates is designing the interiors, award-winning firm Cube 3 is the executive architect and Miami-based Urban Robot Associates is the project’s landscape architect. Brooklyn, New York-based BridgeCity Capital is providing $35.5 million in financing to Miami Beach-based JP Roosevelt to begin construction on 42 Pine, an 8-story boutique condominium building envisioned for 340 West 42nd Street between Sheridan Drive and Pine Tree Drive in Nautilus, Miami Beach. The project is designed inside and out by Arquitectonica with landscaping by ULU Studio and offers 50 well-appointed residences spanning 700 to 2,700 square feet, ranging between 1-to-3 bedroom residences and penthouse units. Sales launched just over a month ago, and has already reached the 50% sold mark. Units are priced from $700,000 to $4,000,000 with sales and marketing exclusively handled by Mushka Jacobson of Douglas Elliman.
