SG Holdings, a partnership among Swerdlow Group, SJM Partners, and Alben Duffie, has completed the housing component of Sawyer’s Walk at Located at 249 Northwest 6th Street in Overtown, marking it as the largest affordable senior living community in the US within the last decade. The mixed-use development includes 1.5 million square feet of space, featuring 578 residential units for low-income seniors, 175,000 square feet for retailers, a 25,000-square-foot public plaza, and 130,000 square feet of office space for MSC Group’s North American cruise division headquarters.

Coastal Construction Group has achieved a significant milestone at Block 55 in downtown Miami’s Sawyer’s Walk development. This 18-story mixed-use project, designed by Arquitectonica and dedicated to affordable housing for low-income seniors, has reached its top floor. On Thursday, June 15, the traditional topping-off ceremony was commemorated at the 249 Northwest 6th Street project site. The celebration included a range of festivities, including a raffle, prizes, music, and a luncheon for the entire project team.

Swerdlow Group And Coastal Construction Break Ground On Block 55 At Sawyers Walk In Overtown, Miami

Coconut Grove-based developer Swerdlow Group, lead by Michael Swerdlow, has officially broken ground on Block 55, a massive 1.4 million square-foot mixed-use development located in Downtown Miami’s Overtown district. The structure will occupy an entire block bounded by NW 3rd Ave. and NW 2nd Ave. measuring nearly 150,000 square feet in total lot area, addressed as 249 Northwest 6th Street and rising right beside the northbound elevated Interstate 95. World-class design firm Arquitectonica is designing the building with Coastal Contruction as the general contractor.
