Sentosa is a mixed-use development taking shape in Pompano Beach, Florida. The multi-million-dollar venture offers 285 apartments, according to the South Florida Business Journal. The apartments will be spread across two seven-story buildings.
Another building exceeding the 500-foot mark has been proposed to rise in Fort Lauderdale. Dependable Equities, a Brooklyn, NY-based real estate developer, under the South of River Associates, LLC has filed plans for a second large scale mixed-use project in the city’s Downtown Core. Proposed to rise 563-feet, the sculptural 47-story structure would surpass the current tallest building, 100 Las Olas, and is one of the tallest amongst several other proposals over 500-feet, slated to yield 830 residential units, 12,798 square feet of commercial space and a 9-story parking garage for 951 vehicles integrated into the podium. The project’s design is led by Eran Chen of ODA New York with Flynn Engineering as the civil engineer and Witkin Hults + Partners as the landscape architect.
ANF Group, Inc., a full-service construction firm providing construction management, general contracting, development, and design-build services to the South Florida market, has placed the first concrete panel wall of the new Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Training Facility located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The BSO Training Center is an 88,000 square foot design-build project dedicated to training law enforcement officers from across Broward County. The main entry for staff and visitors into the training center includes a 2-story memorial lobby that honors the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas School shooting.
Manor at Miramar, an 8-story mixed-use project under construction a 1 Main Street, has topped off in the heart of Miramar, FL. Designed by Stantec and developed by Related Group, the development will offer 393 residential units, a 655-space parking garage and 28,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. Current Builders, led by CEO Michael Taylor, is the general contractor for the project, which is slated for completion in Q3 2023.
Pearl Sunrise, a multi-family housing development, could soon replace a long-abandoned ice skating rink in Sunrise, Florida. The Real Deal reports that the venture may comprise 452 apartment units. The South Florida Business Journal reports that 15 percent of those units will be set aside for those making up to 120 percent of the area’s median income. Homes vary from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans.
