Developers Seek FAA Approval For 761-Foot-Tall Structure At Brickell Gateway Site In Miami

Developers Gazit Horizons, the U.S. arm of Israel-based real estate developer Gazit Globe, and Atlantic Pacific have filed permit applications with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for Brickell Gateway, a 61-story mixed-use tower proposed in Miami’s bustling Brickell district. The permit applications were filed on March 28, 2023, and are currently under review by the FAA. The project, designed by Coral Gables-based Corwil Architects, is seeking approval to rise to 761 feet above ground or 772 feet above sea level. Witkin Hults + Partners handles the landscape architecture for the development, while Kimley-Horn is the civil engineer.

13th Floor Investments Files Plans For 17-Story Mixed-Use Tower Near Aventura, Florida

Miami-based developer 13th Floor Investments, under the 13th Floor Acquisitions, LLC, has filed plans for a 17-story mixed-use building at 19680 and 19770 West Dixie Highway in the Ojus neighborhood of Miami-Dade County, near Aventura. Designed by Corwil Architects, the nearly 190-foot-tall structure would yield 561,775 square feet of space including 350 multifamily residential units, approximately 5,300 square feet of ground floor retail, and 545 parking spaces with 20% designated for electric vehicle charging. The property is located just west of Aventura Mall and steps away from the new Brightline Aventura Station.

Grand Peaks Proposes 26-Story Residential Building At 901 SW 3rd Avenue In Brickell

A 26-story residential building has been proposed to rise beside Interstate 95 in the western limits of Brickell, Miami. Dubbed Empire Brickell, the 310-foot-tall structure is designed by Corwil Architects, with Kimley-Horn as the landscape architect. Grand Peaks, a multifamily real estate developer based in Colorado, is under contract to purchase a 1.034-acre site comprising two parcels at 901 Southwest 3rd Avenue and 244 Southwest 9th Street for the project. If approved, the residential development would yield 409,528 square feet of space, including 250 dwelling units, 2,452 square feet of ground floor retail space and 352 parking spaces.

Demolition And Plumbing Permits Issued For NR Investment’s Uni+Dos Site In Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District

Demolition and plumbing permits have been issued to Miami Gardens-based developer NR Investments for 1455 North Miami Avenue, where a 31-story mixed-use tower is planned. The 321-foot-tall structure is designed by Corwil Architects, and is planned to include 398 rental apartments, 8,539 square feet of retail space and a parking garage for 451 vehicles. The developer, under the 14th Street Development LLC, assembled the 49,800-square-foot site over the past decade, located between North Miami Avenue and Northeast Miami Court, with Northeast 14th and 15th Streets on the north and south. The project is officially addressed as 31 Northeast 14th Street, located in the Arts & Entertainments District.
