Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi & Partners, two internationally recognized real estate development firms, announced it will begin leasing and construction in the coming months for their new Class A+ office building designed by renowned Spanish master architect Alberto Campo Baeza alongside Cube 3 as the architect of record named The Fifth Miami Beach. This will be the first commercial building in the United States and the first building in Miami designed by Baeza, who won Spain’s National Prize for Architecture last year. It will also be the first new commercial building to be built in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood in more than 15 years, located at 411 Michigan Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets. This summer, less than one year after acquiring the 21,000-square-foot site, Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi & Partners received unanimous design approval from the Historic Preservation Board of Miami.
Miami-based Fortune International Group and Bay Harbor Islands-based Blue Road announced that Nexo Residences, a 15-story condominium project planned for construction in North Miami Beach with unrestricted home-sharing rental capabilities, is now designated for EB-5 Program investment. Located at 13899 Biscayne Boulevard, Nexo Residences is one of the first condo projects in the rapidly growing area that offers short-term rental capability without restrictions amidst its 254 residences. Designed by Frankel Benayoun Architects Inc. with consultation from internationally-renowned architect Carlos Ott, and common areas, residential interiors, and landscaping curated by Urban Robot, the project’s well-thought, resort-style amenities are coupled with connectivity throughout to make one’s stay on the property seamless – giving meaning to the brand’s name, Nexo, which is “nexus” in Spanish, a central point for its location, lifestyle and technology.
FAA building permits have been filed for LOFTY Brickell, a 44-story residential building planned for 99 Southwest 7th Street along the Miami River in Brickell, Miami. Designed by Arquitectonica with landscape architecture by Urban Robot Associates and interiors by INC for real estate developer Newgard Development Group (Newgard), the 574-foot-tall tower will ultimately contain 364 fully-finished residences in a variety of studio, one- and two-bedroom units, as well as 40,000 square feet of thoughtfully curated amenities. Newgard has also secured a loan valued at $170 million from 3650 REIT to begin construction at the site.
Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi & Partners, two internationally recognized real estate development firms, announced they have received approval from the City of Miami Beach to proceed with the construction of a new 5-story Class A+ office building designed by renowned Spanish master architect Alberto Campo Baeza named The Fifth Miami Beach. It will be Baeza’s first commercial building in the United States. World-renowned architecture firm Gabellini Sheppard Associates is designing the interiors, award-winning firm Cube 3 is the executive architect and Miami-based Urban Robot Associates is the project’s landscape architect. Construction is expected to begin imminently.
