Located at 161 Northwest 28th Street in Wynwood, a one-acre development is set to take shape as Bel Invest, an international real estate investment and development entity with a portfolio in Italy, Spain, Germany, and the United States, collaborates with Diesel, the renowned Italian fashion and lifestyle brand, to lay the groundwork for the Diesel Wynwood condominium project. Envisioned by the esteemed Zyscovich Architects, the eight-story structure will occupy approximately 323,633 square feet, comprising 159 residential units and a substantial 15,889 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Miami’s Urban Development Review Board (UDRB) is reviewing a proposal for an 8-story mixed-use building at 1400 Northwest 17th Avenue in the city’s Allapattah neighborhood. Designed by Zyscovich Architects and developed by Miami River District Property, LLC, an entity linked to New York-based real estate investment company Stonecutter Capital Management LLC, the structure would yield 363,663 square feet, including 249 residential units, 8,753 square feet of retail space, and a 425-car parking garage. Savino-Miller Design Studio is the landscape architect, and David Plummer & Associates is the traffic consultant.

Brightline Hosts Construction Milestone Topping-Off Ceremony At Boca Raton Station

Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly, intercity rail in America, along with its contractor Kaufman Lynn, recently hosted the “topping-off” ceremony for its Boca Raton station and parking garage located at 101 Northwest 4th Street. Brightline’s president, Patrick Goddard, was joined by Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer, Kaufman Lynn Construction Senior Vice President Garrett Southern, and city council members. The event signifies a milestone event as the vertical and structural work has been completed and the focus now shifts towards completing the interiors. The Topping Off event will be commemorated with a ceremonial signing of a beam inside the train station.

83-Story MiamiCentral Supertowers Approved By Miami-Dade Commissioner

The twin 83-story mixed-used towers proposed by Brightline parent Florida East Coast Industries (FECI) for the last remaining development site at MiamiCentral has been approved. According to the Miami Herald, Miami-Dade commissioners voted last week giving the project the green light. Addressed as 195 Northwest 2nd Street and 220 Northwest 2nd Avenue, both towers will rise 848-feet above the Government Center light rail station and yield a combined 2,007 residential units, 49,634 square feet of retail space and 2,136 parking spaces. New York-based J3T Ventures, LLC, managed by Nader Damaghi and additional family members, has been in contract to buy the property since May of last year, and is highly likely to be the developer to bring the Zyscovich Architects-designed Supertowers to fruition.

Brightline Breaks Ground On Zyscovich Architects-Designed Boca Raton Station

Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly, intercity rail in America, breaks ground on its new Boca Raton station with Kaufman Lynn Construction, Inc. as the
construction manager for the garage and train station. Once completed, the station will be Brightline’s fifth operational in Florida, connecting travelers from Boca Raton to Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and soon Orlando. Located on a 1.8-acre site across from Mizner Park and adjacent to the downtown library, Brightline’s Boca station, designed by Zyscovich Architects, will feature approximately 38,000 square feet of space which will include its signature autonomous MRKT and premium lounge among other station amenities. The station will offer a seamless travel experience through modern technology, including a cashless environment, touchless turnstiles and high-speed WiFi. Brightline’s Boca station is expected to be complete in the fall of 2022.
