Applications have been filed for the development of two 164,435-square-foot logistics and distribution warehouse buildings in the Tamiami municipality of Miami-Dade County. Located east of the intersection of Northwest 13th Street and Northwest 129th Avenue, the interior lot sits just north of the Dolphin Expressway and across the street from an existing logistics center. Prologis 2, LP and Miami-Dade Expressway Authority are listed as the owners of the application, represented by Tracey Slavens of Holland & Knight LLP.

Envisioning The Future Supertalls Of The City Of Miami

In recent years, the city of Miami has seen an influx of proposals for supertall skyscrapers; this supertall is defined as a building reaching the height of 300 meters or greater, or a minimum of 984 feet. Various developers have put together elite teams of architects and engineers to bring the phenomenon to South Florida, yet as of today, none have been constructed. Skyscraper construction is no myth in the area as the city’s skyline is densely packed with hundreds of high rises, and perhaps even some that visually appear to come close to 300 meters, but a legitimate supertall has yet to come to fruition. This could be due to various factors, such as funding or engineering obstacles; maybe in the past the demand wasn’t there. But what we do know is that the FAA, the Federal Aviation Administration, has approved a handful of supertall skyscraper proposals. These are the most recently proposed and approved projects.

Renderings Revealed For URBAN22 In Edgewater, Miami

Renderings have been revealed via a new proposal for a mixed-use development named URBAN22 in Edgewater, Miami. Officially addressed as 2200 Northeast 2nd Avenue, the plans call for the construction of a 708,119-square-foot structure consisting of two 15-story towers rising from a multi-floor podium. The City of Miami Planning and Zoning Department is currently reviewing the application/proposal for the site, who’s owner are members of the Melo Group filed under Cardinal Plaza Corporation.

JDS Development Group’s Plan For 1 Southside Park In Brickell

Back in January 2021, renown real estate developer JDS Development Group announced a 2.5 million-square-foot project in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami now known as 1 Southside Park. Addressed as 1133 Southwest 2nd Avenue, the structure is anticipated to rise up to 60-stories and top out at 780-feet, serving as a mixed-use skyscraper of multiple purposes.
