Ytech Announces 70-Story First-Ever Solar-Powered High-Rise ‘The Residences At 1428 Brickell’

Miami-based real estate development firm Ytech, led by Yamal Yidios, has announced The Residences at 1428 Brickell, a 70-story luxury condominium development planned for 1428 Brickell Avenue in Miami’s Brickell Financial District. Designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Italian architecture firm ACPV ARCHITECTS, the building will be the first-ever high-rise residential tower using solar energy, comprised of a limited collection of 189 fully-finished residences with two- to four-bedroom plus den units ranging from 1,800 to 4,000 square feet, and a penthouse collection of units ranging from 4,000 to 10,000 square feet. John Moriarty Associates, one of the country’s most prolific luxury condominium builders, has been selected as the general contractor. The award-winning engineering firm Cosentini Associates has been chosen as the property’s expert solar energy consultant. Cervera Real Estate serves as the sales team representing the property.

Miami-Dade County’s Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources will consider the general site development plan resubmitted for 888, an 81-story supertall mixed-use skyscraper propped for 888 Brickell Avenue in the heart of Miami’s Brickell Financial District. Designed by Studio Sofield with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record and solely developed by Michael Stern’s JDS Development Group, the 1,048-foot-tall structure is planned to provide 1,178,568 square feet of space including 259 residential units, 52,144 square feet of health/fitness, 38,727 square feet of food and beverage, and 273 parking spaces operated by a valet. The application is pursuant to Section 33C-15 of the County Code of Ordinances for the Property, filed on October 4, 2022.

FAA Filings Reveal A Pair Of Towers Proposed To Rise 685-Feet In Brickell

A September 23 filing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reveals building permit applications for two 685-foot-tall buildings. Located along the eastern frontage of Southwest 2nd Avenue between Southwest 8th and 9th Streets in Brickell, the structures would rise 699 feet above sea level and would occupy the western third of the city block. The property is owned by Millennium Developments of Brickell LLC, an affiliate of the prominent Coto Family of Argentina and Aston Martin Residences developer G&G Business Developments, spanning nearly 0.93 acres including four parcels of land addressed as 161 and 195 Southwest 9th Street, and 190 Southwest 8th Street.

Foundation permits have been filed for three mixed-use highrises at 1420 South Miami Avenue in Brickell, Miami. Located between Southwest 14th Street and Southwest 14th Terrace with Southwest 1st Avenue on the west and South Miami Avenue on the east, the approximate 2.74-acre development site is located near the southern tip of the Brickell Financial District. It will give rise to three soaring adjoined superstructures of 50, 60, and 80 stories with around 2.72 million square feet of space. The project was designed by Arquitectonica with ArquitectonicaGEO handling landscape architecture and being developed by Mast Capital. Moss & Associates is listed as the contractor for this scope of work.

Grand Peaks Proposes 26-Story Residential Building At 901 SW 3rd Avenue In Brickell

A 26-story residential building has been proposed to rise beside Interstate 95 in the western limits of Brickell, Miami. Dubbed Empire Brickell, the 310-foot-tall structure is designed by Corwil Architects, with Kimley-Horn as the landscape architect. Grand Peaks, a multifamily real estate developer based in Colorado, is under contract to purchase a 1.034-acre site comprising two parcels at 901 Southwest 3rd Avenue and 244 Southwest 9th Street for the project. If approved, the residential development would yield 409,528 square feet of space, including 250 dwelling units, 2,452 square feet of ground floor retail space and 352 parking spaces.
