JDS Development Group Gets Utilities Deal With Miami-Dade County For 1 Southside Park in Brickell

JDS Development Group has signed a utilities deal with Miami-Dade County’s Water and Sewer Department for 1 Southside Park, a 62-story two-towered mixed-use development planned to rise 708-feet and 754-feet in Brickell, Miami. With site work already underway, the deal will connect the buildings to Miami’s water supply and sewer lines, providing utilities for 1,195 apartments, 200 hotel rooms, 165,000 square feet of office space, an 86,151-square-foot spa, a 23,312-square-foot full service restaurant, 1,417 square feet of fast food space, a 5,120-square-foot banquet hall, a 13,673-square-foot fitness center and a 32,000-square-foot fire station. The buildings are designed by New York City’s SHoP Architects with James Corner Field Operations as the landscape architect.

Mast Capital Files Plans For Three Towers At Former ‘Capital At Brickell’ Site In Miami

Mast Capital has officially filed plans with Miami’s Urban Development Review Board for 1420 South Miami Avenue, a three-towered mixed-use development proposed to be constructed at the former site of Capital at Brickell. The property is bound by South Miami Avenue on the East, Southwest 14th Terrace on the South, Southwest 1st Avenue on the West, and Southwest 14th Street on the North, across the street from SLS Brickell, Infinity at Brickell and One Broadway. The development is comprised of 2,727,765 square feet of new construction including 1,255 residential units, 18,969 square feet of commercial space and 1,646 parking spaces. The three towers will rise approximately 604-feet, 691-feet, and 939-feet across 50, 59, and 80 stories. Arquitectonica is listed as the design architect with ArquitectonicaGEO as the landscape architect.

FAA Applications Filed For Two Towers At 1 Southside Park In Brickell, Miami

Applications have been filed with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) seeking approvals for the construction of two towers at 1 Southside Park in Brickell, Miami. The buildings would rise 754-feet, or 766-feet above sea level, and 708-feet, or 720-feet above sea level, and would be located mainly along Southwest 2nd Avenue between Southwest 11th and 12th Streets near the western-most perimeters of the Brickell neighborhood. The project is being developed by New York City’s JDS Development Group and is designed by SHoP Architects, the duo behind Brooklyn’s first supertall – the 1,066-foot-tall The Brooklyn Tower, and the world’s most slender supertall skyscraper, the 1,428-foot-tall 111 West 57th Street. 1 Southside Park is projected to yield nearly 1,200 residential units, approximately 200,000 square feet of Class-A office space, 23,312 square feet of restaurant space, 1,417 square feet for a fast-food restaurant, a 189-room Treehouse Hotel operated by SH Hotels & Resorts, a 32,000-square-foot fire house and 1,000 parking spaces.

CI Financial Corp Leases Additional Space At OKO Group’s 55-Story 830 Brickell Office Tower

Canadian asset and wealth management firm CI Financial Corp has doubled the size of its planned office space at 830 Brickell, a 55-story Class A-plus office building under construction in the heart of Miami’s Brickell Financial District designed by renowned architecture firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, with interiors by Italian architecture and design company Iosa Ghini Associati. Just months after signing a 20,000 square-foot lease that will house the firm’s U.S. headquarters, CI Financial has expanded with an additional floor. The new office will total approximately 40,000 square feet. The firm’s expansion further solidifies 830 Brickell as the address of choice for financial, professional services, and global firms looking to establish or grow their presence in South Florida. The 724-foot-tall tower, which is being developed by a joint venture between OKO Group and Cain International, is expected to top out soon and is slated for completion later this year with Civic Construction as the general contractor.
