Newgard Development Group recently acquired a 1.08-acre site at 200 West Broward Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale from a joint venture between Aimco and Kushner Companies for $31.24 million. The site, zoned for substantial residential development, has received approvals for a 49-story building comprising 381 residential units, 8,256 square feet of commercial space, and 426 parking spaces. Updated details about future development plans are anticipated to be announced in the coming months.
Kolter Urban has selected Moss Construction as the general contractor for ONE Tampa, a pivotal development poised to redefine the skyline of Downtown Tampa, located at 507 North Ashley Drive. These towers will reach a height of 477 feet to the roof or 510 feet to the bulkhead, making them some of the tallest proposed or planned buildings in Fort Lauderdale.
A 15-story hotel has been proposed at 3001 Alhambra Street in Central Beach, Fort Lauderdale. Roslyn Heights, NY-based Hariom Realty LLC, is developing the 200-foot-tall building. The development is going by the name 42 Hotel and is planned to encompass 90,260 gross square feet of space, including 28,693 square feet of lodging space spread across 75 keys, 984 square feet of ancillary retail, 3,771 square feet of amenities, and 47 parking spaces. Adache Group Architects is listed as the architect, and Andres Escobar is the interior designer.
