Plans have been filed for RD Rio Vista, a 30-story mixed-use building at 409 Southeast 8th Street in the Rio Vista section of Fort Lauderdale’s downtown corridor.  Designed by Cohen, Freedman, Encinosa & Associates with Botek Thurlow Engneering, Inc. as the civil engineer and Rhett Roy as the landscape architect, the 337-foot-tall structure project would include 267,135 square feet of residential space across 328 units ranging from 510 square feet to 1,225 square feet with an average unit scope 814 square feet, 3,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, and 440 structured parking spaces. The developer is a joint venture partnership between Related Group and Alta Development under the 409 SE 8th Street, LLC.

Real estate and private equity investment firm Pebb Capital has broken ground of Sundy Village. The milestone signifies the start of construction for the transformative mixed-use development located at the gateway of Downtown Delray Beach. On February 22, Pebb Capital, development partners, community members, and city officials gathered at the project site, 22 West Atlantic Avenue, for the official groundbreaking ceremony. Delray Beach Mayor Shelly Petrolia and Downtown Development Authority Executive Director Laura Simon were special guests at the ceremony. Bluewater Builders will serve as the general contractor, with delivery anticipated for the summer of 2024.

6940 North Beach LLC, a joint venture between entities controlled by Rainer Viete, Jose Boschetti, and Eduardo Otaola, has filed an application requesting design review approval to construct a new 10-story mixed-use building at 6940 Abbott Avenue, the site of a former BellSouth office and parking lot that is no longer in use in the North Beach section of Miami Beach. Designed by Arquitectonica with Biscayne Engineering as the land surveyor and civil engineer, the 130-foot-tall structure would yield 134,573 gross square feet of space, including 96-unit multi-family units, of which 21 would be co-living units, 2,192 square feet of ground floor retail, and 90 parking spaces. The property spans roughly 24,800 square feet and is bound by Byron Avenue to the west and Abbott Avenue to the east. Shoma Group Reveals New Look And Updated Project Plans For 24-Story Shoma Bay In North Bay Village

Miami-based developer Shoma Group has unveiled new renderings of Shoma Bay, a 24-story mixed-use building planned at 1850 79th Street Causeway (John F. Kennedy Causeway) in the waterfront community of North Bay Village. Designed by MSA Architects with interiors by Adriana Hoyos,  the development will comprise 333 residential units, a 35,037-square-foot Publix, and 6,325 square feet of retail space, which includes a rooftop lounge and Shoma Bazaar food hall. The pedestrian-friendly destination is located at 79th Street Causeway and East Treasure Drive near all major highways and various shops and dining options.

Aimco Files Plans For 43-Story Tower At 510 NE 34th Street In Edgewater, Miami

Denver-based multifamily developer Aimco has filed plans for its third proposed tower addressed as 510 – 534 Northeast 34th Street in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Designed by Stantec with Urvan X handling interiors, the 500-foot-tall One Edgewater tower will be a 43-story, 464,037-square-foot residential building with 204 apartments and 910 square feet of commercial space. The tower will have 12,838 square feet of coworking space on floors two through six, a pool deck, a fitness center, a lounge on the ninth floor, and apartment sizes ranging from 871 to 1,736 square feet. The project also includes a 301-space parking garage that would be fully automated with a robotic system. MAK work is the landscape architect, and Kimley-Horn is the traffic engineer.
