Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi+Bilgili, two internationally renowned real estate development firms, announced closing $47.25 million in construction financing from Cain International for The Fifth Miami Beach. This new Class A+ office building at 950 5th Street is the first commercial building in Miami’s South of Fifth neighborhood in 20 years. Designed by Alberto Campo Baeza, who recently won Spain’s National Prize for Architecture, The Fifth Miami Beach is the architect’s first Miami building and first commercial office project in the U.S.
A site work permit for earthworks has been officially filed for the Riverside Wharf complex at 114 Southwest North River Drive in downtown Miami, representing a significant milestone for this transformative $185 million project. The permit application, submitted on October 15th, lists Moss & Associates as the project’s general contractor, indicating that excavation work is likely to begin soon. MTCI is the permit runner.

The forthcoming Riverside Wharf is envisioned as a more permanent incarnation of The Wharf’s vibrant essence. While The Wharf’s closing party is scheduled from September 15 to 16, anticipation for Riverside Wharf’s evolution is growing.
Miami’s Urban Development Review Board has approved Tower 91, a 20-story mixed-use development slated for 91 Northeast 36th Street near the Design District. Elkus Manfredi Architects designed the tower, with CUBE 3 serving as the architect of record. Developed by Design District Associates and Prinz Corner LLC, both affiliated entities of DACRA and property owners at 91 – 93 Northeast 36th Street, this impressive structure will rise nearly 270 feet tall and offer a total of 321,450 gross square feet. The development includes 107 multi-family residential units, 21,812 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and convenient onsite parking for 227 vehicles. Savino & Miller Design Studio is the landscape architect, Kimley-Horn handles civil engineering, Spinnaker is the LEED Consultant, and Akerman, LLP is the land-use attorney.
