Fort Lauderdale’s DNA Towers Get Height Increase To 550 Feet In New FAA Building Permit Filings

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) received new applications for building permits to allow vertical construction for DNA Towers, a pair of mixed-use towers planned for 300 North Andrews Avenue at the border between Flagler Village and the Central Business District in Fort Lauderdale. According to the permit filings, the 40 and 45-story towers are now planned to rise 550 feet, or 555 feet above sea level, roughly 50 feet higher than the previous filing in May. Designed by Miami-based Seiger Suarez Architects with landscaping from EGS2 Corp and developed by Fort Lauderdale-based BH3 Management (BH3), the 1.4-million-square-foot development will comprise 612 residential units, roughly 60,000 square feet of experiential retail/commercial space, and a 7-story parking garage with 890 parking spaces.

Potential $240 Million Land Sale Could Clear The Way For A Sculpturesque 80-Story Condo Tower In Brickell

Miami’s oldest Presbyterian church has been given clearance to move forward with the $240 million sale of 2.2-acres of land at 609 Brickell Avenue, one of the last remaining waterfront sites in Brickell. The Permanent Judicial Commission of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, the highest governing body of the religious institution, sided with church leaders and members in favor of selling the land for redevelopment purposes. Miami-based investment and development firms 13th Floor Investments and Key International are planning an 80-story condominium tower designed by Sieger Suarez Architects (Sieger Suarez) that could become a supertall fronting Biscayne Bay. The developers and church leaders are reportedly finalizing the sale contract for the prime development site.

PMG, E11EVEN Partners Submit FAA Application For 699-Foot-Tall E11EVEN Residences Beyond

The second E11EVEN-branded tower being planned by national investment and development firm Property Markets Group and E11EVEN Partners, led by Michael Simkins and Marc Roberts, is now under review by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The 65-story structure, dubbed E11Even Residences Beyond, is proposed to rise 699-feet, or 709-feet above sea level at 90 Northeast 11th Street in Miami’s Park West district, mirroring the planned height and floor count of the first tower, E11EVEN Hotel & Residences. 461 condominiums are planned to be developed from this project, which is designed by Sieger Suarez Architects with award-winning design firm AvroKO Hospitality Group handling interiors. The developers applied for building permits on June 29, 2022.
