Jebcore Companies, WMG Development, and Hilton have announced Waldorf Astoria Residences Sarasota, an 18-story residential tower with 86 residences planned for 1390 Main Street at the Five Points Roundabout in downtown Sarasota. The development will replace the existing Zenith Building, its attached parking structure, and an adjacent two-story commercial building at 40 South Pineapple Avenue. ODP Architecture & Design is listed as the architect, with interiors by Workshop/APD. The project will contain 86 private residences, with construction anticipated to begin in late 2026.

Two developers are proceeding with a luxury multi-family housing project in Southwest Florida.

The Design-Build Institute of America’s Florida Region has named the Sanibel Causeway reconstruction its Best Overall Project of the Year, with the additional honor of Transportation and Roadway Project of the Year. The project was delivered by the Superior-de Moya Joint Venture, led by Superior Construction and The de Moya Group, following widespread infrastructure damage caused by Hurricane Ian in September 2022.

Ground has broken on Seven Park Residences, a mixed-use development from Kadima Developers at 218 to 220 SE Seventh Street in Hallandale Beach. The $70 million project will rise with 124 residential units and 4,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. SKLARchitecture is the architect, and Fortune Development Sales is overseeing sales and marketing. Completion is expected in 2027.

First move-ins have commenced at The Whitt, a 211-unit residential development located at 6908 Simmons Loop in the Marana neighborhood of Riverview. Designed by Scott + Cormia and developed by Wingspan Development Group and ABC Capital, the community rises within a low-rise residential context east of I-75 and approximately 15 miles from downtown Tampa.
