YIMBY Scopes Views From Above Miami Worldcenter In Downtown Miami

YIMBY recently went to check out views of construction from above Miami Worldcenter (MWC), a 27-acre world-class mixed-use development under construction in the Park West district of Downtown Miami. The $4 billion development, led and master planned by Miami Worldcenter Associates, a joint venture between master developers Art Falcone, Nitin Motwani and CIM Group, spans 10-blocks and includes immense residential, hotel, office and retail spaces across multiple buildings. The development stretches as far as Northeast 2nd Avenue on the east, Northwest 1st Avenue on the west, Northeast 11th Street on the north and Northeast 6th Street on the south.

Blue Zones Medical And Wellbeing Center At Legacy Hotel & Residences Gets 60% Expansion Following Land Acquisition From RPC

Royal Palm Companies (RPC) purchased the neighboring 7,500-square-foot parcel of land at 61 Northeast 9th Street beside Legacy Hotel & Residences (Legacy) at Miami Worldcenter to expand its 10-floor $100 million first-of-its-kind Blue Zones Medical and Wellbeing Center to be even more expansive than previously planned. The property was purchased by 61 NE 9TH STREET LLC, an entity linked to RPC, for $4,450,000 from SIN BIN INC Given the impressive demand for preventative medicine and wellness, Dan Kodsi and his team are catering to the demand through expanding the center by 60%. The original plans called for 100,000 square feet of space, and will now span 160,000 square feet.

A new rendering has surfaced of Legacy Hotel & Residences, a 51-story mixed-use building officially underway at 930 Northeast 1st Avenue within the 27-acre Miami Worldcenter. Designed by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design Inc. with interiors by ID & Design International and developed by Royal Palm Companies, the near 1-million-square-foot structure is planned rise 690-feet and include 310 residences and 219 hotel rooms, 37,227 square feet of commercial space, 55,088 square feet of office space, over 140,000 square feet of wellness space, 482 parking spaces and 30 bicycle spaces. Moss & Associates LLC is listed as the general contractor.

Naftali Group Closes On 1.3-Million-Square-Foot Miami Worldcenter Site With Plans to Build Two Supertall Residential Skyscrapers

New York-based developer, Naftali Group, a leading privately held global real estate development and investment firm, recently announced it has closed on a development site allowing 1.3 million square feet of new construction at 1016 Northeast Second Avenue in Miami Worldcenter, which spans 27 acres near Downtown Miami and is the second largest active private development in the United States with $4 billion in total investments. Naftali, in partnership with Cara Real Estate Management, purchased the site for $40.5 million. Mika Mattingly, Executive Managing Director at Colliers’ Urban Core Division, represented both Naftali, and Akara Partners, the seller, in the off-market transaction. According to a press release, the developer is planning to construct two supertall residential towers, which would be the first for Miami Worldcenter. Pre-sales for 1016 Northeast Second Avenue are slated for the end of this year.
