In a recent letter of intent submitted to the Miami-Dade County Planning Department, Millennium Developments of Brickell, LLC, an affiliate of G&G Business Developments led by the same team behind the Aston Martin Residences, has formally requested a pre-application meeting to discuss its latest endeavor: ‘Calle 8’. Designed by BMA and proposed for 190 Southwest 8th Street in Brickell, the 55-story mixed-use development would soar to 685 feet, or 699 feet above mean sea level, and comprise 464 residential units, a 467-space parking garage, and various other spaces.

The Federal Aviation Administration has given the green light to developers Gazit Horizons and Atlantic Pacific Communities for Brickell Gateway, a 61-story mixed-use skyscraper set to rise at 90 Southwest 8th Street in Miami’s bustling Brickell neighborhood. Designed by Corwil Architects, the development will encompass a total area of 933,209 square feet. This inclusive space will house a variety of features, including 504 multifamily residential units and 18,287 square feet of retail space at ground level. Internalized parking facilities will cater to 348 vehicles. The residential units will span a range of sizes, from cozy studios to spacious three-bedroom layouts, covering an area of 493 to 1,328 square feet. The development will offer a well-rounded living experience, including enticing rooftop amenities such as a pool deck with covered terraces, grilling spots, and inviting dining areas.

128 SW 7th Street Owner LLC, an affiliate of Chicago-based Focus Development Inc (Focus) – a vertically integrated development and construction company, has filed a pre-application meeting request for the preliminary review of a proposed 39-story development at 128 Southwest 7th Street. The 415-foot-tall structure, dubbed Miami Starlite, would replace the shuttered 28-year-old Starlite East Motel and yield 685,710 gross square feet of space, including 516 residential units, ground-floor retail, amenity spaces, and approximately 506 off-street parking spaces. The architect leading the design is San Francisco-based Gensler.
