The developers of One Brickell City Centre have signed a utility agreement to connect the upcoming supertall office tower at 700 Brickell Avenue to Miami-Dade County’s water and sewer system. The agreement, dated February 22, lists 700 Brickell City Centre LLC and Brickell City Centre Project LLC as the developing entities, with Kieran Bowers of Swire Properties signing on behalf of both entities. Hudson Yards developer Related Companies, led by Stephen Ross, is also a partner in the project. Miami-based Arquitectonica designed the project.

Plans have been fully revealed for One Brickell Riverfront, a 1,160,588-square-foot mixed-use development at 99 Southwest 7th Street south of the Miami River in Brickell. The proposal consists of two towers, one of which is the recently-ground-broken 44-story Lofty Brickell, and a second tower of 43 stories. Designed by Arquitectonica and developed by Newgard Development Group, the project would yield 784 residential units, ground floor retail space, 13,170 square feet of office space, and 919 parking spaces.

Karam Group and Claro Development have brought back to life ambitious plans for their 78-story mixed-use tower 18, also known as 18 At 8th, unveiled back in 2017. Standing tall at 954 feet above the ground and 960 feet above mean sea level, this radiant structure would be located at the southwest corner of South Miami Avenue and Southwest 8th Street and replace an existing single-story strip-mall. Building permits were recently filed with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), solidifying the progress toward bringing this towering vision to reality. Miami’s Urban Development Review Board has already approved, ensuring that the tower will offer a total of 923,000 square feet of space, including 392 residential units, 66,618 square feet of retail, and 464 parking spaces. New details and renderings have been released for One Brickell City Centre, a 68-story office tower planned for a 2.38-acre site at 700 Brickell Avenue in the heart of Miami’s Brickell financial district. Designed by Arquitectonica and developed by a joint venture partnership between Related Companies and Swire Properties, the nearly 1,000-foot-tall structure will yield 1.5 million square feet of office space, a host of wellness amenities, and a high-end restaurant and a helipad on the roof. Demolition work for existing site improvements is expected to commence in Q1 of 2023, and a ground-breaking date will be announced based on the pace of leasing efforts.
