AKAI Estates, a 44-acre single-family home development in Southwest Ranches, Florida has officially broken ground. Located at 4730 Akai Drive, the development will consist of 16 ultramodern luxury estates that span between 7,000 to over 15,000 square feet within a fully-gated community, inclusive of cutting-edge amenities. AKAI Estates is conceptually designed by internationally acclaimed architect Vasco Vieira, founder and head architect of Portugal-based firm Vasco Vieira Arquitectos, alongside FSMY Architects + Planners as the architect of record. FAA Review Underway For 595-Foot-Tall Tower At 200 W. Broward Boulevard In Downtown Fort Lauderdale

A September 23rd filing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) shows work is in progress on the review for 200 West Broward Boulevard, a 48-story mixed-use high-rise building planned as the second phase of the Broward Crossing development west of the Florida East Coast Railway tracks in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Broward County. Designed by Adache Group Architects and developed by a partnership between New York-based Kushner Companies and Denver-based Aimco under the K-A 200 Broward JV LLC, the 1.08-acre site on the southwest corner of West Broward Boulevard and Southwest 2nd Avenue would give rise to a 595-foot-tall structure, according to the FAA filing, which would comprise roughly 923,989 square feet of space including 381 residential units, 7,527 square feet of commercial space, around 180,000 square feet of combined amenity, tenant storage, and service spaces, and an 8-story parking garage for 434 vehicles. 200 West Broward Boulevard is destined to become the tallest building in Fort Lauderdale if approved and built, surpassing all existing contenders for the title and the current tallest, the 499-foot-tall 100 Las Olas.

Brooklyn-based New Leaf Development (New Leaf), led by developers John Russo and Joseph Scarpinito, has officially filed plans for The Muse Tower, a slender 30-story condominium development proposed for 408-410 and 416 Northeast 1st Avenue in Flagler Village, Fort Lauderdale – Broward County. Located between Northeast 1st Avenue and Northeast 2nd Avenue, and just north of Northeast 4th Street, the 382-foot-tall structure would comprise over 210,000 gross square feet of space including 112 residential units, 854 square feet of commercial space for an art gallery, and a parking garage for 137 vehicles. The eye-catching modern design of the tower is by New York-based INOA Architecture (INOA), led by founder and principal Murat Mutlu, and Deerfield Beach-based R-Method is the architect of record.
