The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued building permits for Ombelle, a large-scale two-tower mixed-use development planned for 300 Northeast 3rd Avenue in Flagler Village, Fort Lauderdale. Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by Brooklyn-based Dependable Equities, the 43-story project will yield approximately 1.5 million square feet of space, including 959 rental dwelling units, over 11,000 square feet of retail space, and more than 1,000 parking spaces. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has received building permit applications to continue work on RD Las Olas, a 45-story mixed-use building under construction at 201 South Federal Highway in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Designed by Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates and developed by Miami-based The Related Group (Related), the tower is destined to become the second tallest in Fort Lauderdale, comprising 300 residential units along with approximately 3,200 square feet of ground floor retail, a parking garage of 453 spaces and amenities such as a 10th-floor deck with a club room, a health club, a pool, and a spa. Developer Kolter Urban has secured $240M in construction financing for Selene Oceanfront Residences, a two-towered, 26-story residential development located at 151 North Seabreeze Drive in Central Beach, Fort Lauderdale. Designed by Kobi Karp Architects with interiors by ID & Design International, the development will comprise 194 exceptionally spacious two- and three-bedroom residences ranging from 1,400 to 3,200 square feet with a limited collection of penthouses. Wells Fargo Bank, an administrative agent for a group of lenders, provided the loan for the property, which is set to become the tallest residential development on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Coastal Construction is the general contractor.

Fort Laudedale-based developer JDSFC Properties, LLC has requested Site Plan Level III approval from the Development Review Committee (DRC) for Isle of Venice Condos, a 5-story luxury multifamily complex proposed for 87 Isle of Venice Drive in Nurmi Isles, Fort Lauderdale. Designed by Adache Group Architects with Architectural Alliance Landscape as the landscape architect and GRAEF as the civil engineer, the approximately 65-foot-tall multifamily project would offer 8 spacious units averaging roughly 3,000 square feet and 18 parking spaces spread across 28,795 gross square feet. Fort Lauderdale’s new tallest building could soon join the existing crop of skyscrapers in the Downtown area. A November 30 filing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) shows a review is now in progress for 633 Southeast 3rd Avenue, a 47-story mixed-use high-rise building planned for a 1.7-acre assemblage located between Southeast 6th Court and Southeast 7th Street, in the Rio Vista neighborhood south of the New River. Designed by ODA New York, led by architect and owner Eran Chen, and developed by Brooklyn, NY-based real estate developer Dependable Equities, the proposed sculptural tower is planned to yield 1,099,811 square feet of space, including 830 residential units, 12,798 square feet of commercial space, and a 9-story parking garage for 951 vehicles integrated into the podium. Flynn Engineering is serving as the civil engineer, and Witkin Hults + Partners is the landscape architect. Approval from the FAA could make this building the next tallest building in Fort Lauderdale and the first to reach the 600-foot mark.
