Full demolition permits have been issued for a low-rise commercial structure at 90 Southwest 8th Street in Brickell, Miami. Built in 1971, the building spans 45,465 square feet and is tucked in the southeast corner of the junction between Southwest 1st Avenue and Southwest 8th Street. The interior lot is approximately 21,210 square feet and bordered by multiple high-rise structures including the 48-story Soltair Brickell Apartments on the east and the 30-story Brickell Bayview Center on the south. Gazit Horizons Brickell LLC, an entity linked to Tel Aviv-based real estate magnate Gazit Globe, is the owner of the application.

Chetrit Group Lands $310 Million Loan From Madison Realty Capital For The Kobi Karp-Designed 6.2-Acre Miami River Mega Project

The Chetrit Group’s vision for the 6.2-acre Miami River may finally come to fruition after landing a loan to begin construction. The New York City-based developer was granted $310 million in financing from Madison Realty Capital for the first two phases of the 4.2 million-square-foot mega project in Brickell, which is comprised of building the first of four towers and the additions and improvements to the riverwalk. The deal was arranged by Henry Bodek of Galaxy Capital Group, and is collateralized by the land for the last three phases. Kobi Karp is the architect for development, which will ultimately yield 1,928 residential units, 330 hotel rooms, 196,882-square-feet of retail space, and 98,040-square-feet of office space across multiple glass-clad towers along with boat slips, an outdoor theater, a residents lounge, a business center, a state-of-the-art gym, a pool, and a café.

The Federal Aviation Administration has received applications seeking approvals for The Gallery at West Brickell, a 321-foot-tall mixed-use project planned for 201 Southwest 10th Street in West Brickell, Miami. Designed by CM Design & Development and developed by Miami-based Related Group along with Miami-Dade County, the project would rise 29 stories at the northwest corner of Southwest 2nd Avenue and Southwest 10th Street, and yield approximately 465 income-restricted residential units, 2,238 square feet of office space, 2,338 square feet of retail and up to 529 parking spaces. The applications for the height approvals were submitted on October 28, 2021.

Tower One’s Superstructure Reaches Parapet On Smart Brickell At 239 SW 9th Street In Miami

The reinforced concrete superstructure on the first of three towers has reached it’s parapet at Smart Brickell, a 25-story, multi-building complex under construction at 239 Southwest 9th Street in the western section Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. HAC Architects and Urbanists is the design architect with Gensler as the architect of record, and Arquitectonica Interiors is handling interiors. Habitat Group is the developer behind the project.
