Woodfield Development has secured construction financing for Sarasota Square Apartments, a 355-unit multifamily development at 8201 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. The project represents the next phase in the redevelopment of the former Sarasota Square mall, a nearly 100-acre mixed-use master plan led by Torburn Partners. Construction is expected to begin this summer following a groundbreaking anticipated in the coming weeks. PNC Bank provided financing for the residential development.

Snøhetta Unveils Design for Sweetbird North in Miami Design District

New renderings have been revealed for Sweetbird North, an eight-story mixed-use office and retail building planned for the western edge of the Miami Design District. Designed by Snøhetta and developed by Miami Design District Associates, the Craig Robins-led entity behind the transformation of the Miami Design District, in partnership with Raycliff Capital, the project will encompass approximately 120,500 square feet. Construction is expected to begin in August 2026, with completion anticipated in 2028.

38-Story Icon Beach Waterfront Residences Breaks Ground In Hollywood

Developers Related Group and BH Group have broken ground on Icon Beach Waterfront Residences, a 38-story waterfront condominium tower in Hollywood. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 18 for the project,which will yield 350 residential units between Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The development recently secured a $360 million construction loan from Tyko Capital and is slated for completion in 2028.

Municipal Planning Board Approves Zoning Amendment For 37-Story Tower At 170 East Washington Street In Downtown Orlando

Orlando’s Municipal Planning Board voted 6-1 to approve a Planned Development amendment for a proposed 37-story mixed-use tower at 170 East Washington Street in Downtown Orlando. The 425-foot-tall development is designed by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design and would rise on a 0.63-acre site across from Lake Eola Park. Plans call for 252 branded residential units, a 221-room luxury hotel, a three-story signature restaurant, and structured parking.

Flagler Drive, has entered contract after being listed for $16.95 million, establishing a new record for the highest-priced condominium sale ever recorded on North Flagler Drive by both total sales price and price per square foot. The tower is being developed by Related Group and BH Group and is currently under construction along the city’s growing waterfront residential corridor.

Construction has commenced on 14 ROC, a 31-story residential tower at 125 NE 14th Street in Downtown Miami. Developed by 14th Street Miami Investments, LLC, and affiliate of Russell Galbut’s GFO Investments, in partnership with Cervera Real Estate, the project will yield 283 condominium residences and is designed by RSP Architects, with interiors by March and White Design and landscape architecture by Urban Robot Associates. The development is currently reported to be approximately 50 percent sold ahead of vertical construction. Seawood Builders is the general contractor.
