Allen Morris Co. has announced a public-private partnership with the City of Coral Gables and Agave Holdings, owner of The Plaza Coral Gables, to undertake a comprehensive redesign of Fred B. Hartnett Ponce Circle Park at 2810 Ponce de Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables, Florida. The project, valued at more than $10 million, will introduce new public art, landscaped gathering spaces, an open-air performance venue, and pedestrian infrastructure improvements along surrounding streets. The redesign is led by Maria de la Guardia of de la Guardia Victoria Architects & Urbanists in collaboration with Andres Arcila of Naturalficial, with planting design coordinated with Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.

Berkadia Arranges $36.7 Million In Financing For Three Multifamily Properties Across Florida

Berkadia has arranged $36.7 million in acquisition and refinancing loans on behalf of Rental Asset Management (RAM) for three multifamily properties across Florida, including two in Miami-Dade County and one in Pasco County. The transactions include acquisition financing for the newly completed RAM Four Hialeah in Hialeah and refinancing loans for The Devonshire in Miami Springs and Summer Lake Villas in New Port Richey.

Ocean One Breaks Ground At 114-222 North Federal Highway In Boynton Beach

An official groundbreaking ceremony was held October 6 for Ocean One, an eight-story, 371-unit mixed-use development at 114-222 North Federal Highway in downtown Boynton Beach. Developed by Hyperion Group, Winter Properties, WREP, and Silverstein Properties and designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica, the project will include rental residences and 25,500 square feet of retail space. City officials, project partners, and community leaders attended the ceremony.

Casa Bella Residences Opens At 1400 Biscayne Boulevard In Downtown Miami

Related Group and Alta Developers have completed Casa Bella Residences by B&B Italia, a 650-foot-tall, 56-story condominium tower at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. Designed by Arquitectonica, with interiors by Piero Lissoni of Lissoni New York and landscape design by Enzo Enea, the development contains 319 residences, including 10 penthouses. The project marks B&B Italia’s first residential development. More than 90 percent of the homes are under contract, with closings underway and the first residents moved in.

Swire Properties Breaks Ground On The Residences At Mandarin Oriental, Miami On Brickell Key

Swire Properties has broken ground on The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, a two-tower residential and hotel development at 500 Brickell Key Drive and 750 Claughton Island Drive on the southern end of Brickell Key. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the project comprises a 66-story South Tower and a 33-story North Tower, with previously reported heights of 850 and 426 feet, respectively. Moss is serving as general contractor, and completion is scheduled for 2030.

Developed by Miami Design District Associates in partnership with Raycliff Capital and designed by Snøhetta, the approximately 120,500-square-foot project will contain more than 92,000 square feet of office space and approximately 22,500 square feet of retail. Carnegie Mellon University Plans 35-Acre Campus In Wynwood, Miami

Plans have been announced for Carnegie Mellon University Miami, a 35-acre campus in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood supported by a $2 billion commitment from Citadel founder and CEO Ken Griffin. The funding is part of Griffin’s $3 billion pledge to Carnegie Mellon University, with the remaining $1 billion allocated to its Pittsburgh campus. Once complete, the Miami campus is expected to support more than 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students, nearly 300 faculty members, and over 600 staff members.

Exterior work is moving along on ONE Tampa, a 42-story residential tower at 520 North Tampa Street in Downtown Tampa. Developed by Kolter Urban and designed by Adache Group Architects, with interiors by ID & Design International, the approximately 510-foot-tall structure will comprise 225 condominium residences ranging from one- to three-bedroom layouts, including configurations with dens. Residences span approximately 1,100 to 4,000 square feet, with estate-sized homes and penthouses occupying the upper levels. The 0.63-acre property is bounded by East Twiggs Street to the north, North Florida Avenue to the east, and North Tampa Street to the west, while abutting low-rise commercial buildings along East Madison Street to the south. Moss Construction is serving as general contractor.
