FAA Approves Namdar Group’s Planned 450-Foot-Tall Mixed-Use Towers At 222 NE 1st Avenue in Downtown Miami

The Federal Aviation Administration has approved two 43-story towers in Downtown Miami.  The project in question is 222, also known as Namdar Towers, an approximate 1.3 million-square-foot mixed-use development planned for a 1.26-acre assemblage at 222 Northeast 1st Avenue. Designed by Behar Font & Partners with De Los Reyes Engineering, Inc. as the structural engineer and developed by Namdar Group, plans for the project call for 1,394 residential units, 7,984 square feet of ground floor commercial space,  336 vehicles parking spaces, and racks for 1,394 bicycles. Witkin Hults + Partners is the landscape architect, TWR Engineers is the MEP engineer, and Grāef is the civil engineer.

Total demolition permits have been filed for a 10-story commercial building at 700 Brickell Avenue in Brickell, Miami’s financial district. The 190,963-square-foot structure is listed as built in 1971 and has since been used for office purposes with an attached parking garage, occupying an L-shaped 47,610-square-foot lot on the western frontage of Brickell Avenue between Southeast 7th and 8th Streets. The application was created on January 20 and awaits plan acceptance from Miami’s Building Department to begin the review process. Alpha Wrecking Group is listed as the demolition contractor, with an estimated price tag of $1,350,000 for the scope of work.

Construction Completes On 37-Story Cascade At 3050 Southwest 37th Avenue In Miami

Construction is complete on Cascade, a 37-story multi-family building at 3050 Southwest 37th Avenue in Miami. Designed by Arquitectonica and developed by a joint venture partnership between Miami-based real estate developers 13th Floor Investments and Adler Development, in partnership with global investment manager Barings, the building contains 421 modern apartment homes from studios to three-bedroom floor plans, encompassing 510 to 1,323 square feet of space. The project is the second residential tower to be delivered within the 7-acre Link at Douglas master plan, bound by Peacock Avenue to the north, Southwest 37th Avenue (Douglas Road) to the east, Shipping Avenue and South Dixie Highway to the south, and Southwest 37th Court to the west. Civic Construction served as the general contractor for the building, which received its Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) from Miami-Dade County on Jan. 5.
