Foundation Work Progresses On The Site Of Miami’s First Supertall Skyscraper

Foundation work at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, the site of the forthcoming Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences, has reached a significant milestone. This 100-story supertall tower, designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with Carlos Ott, is poised to transform the downtown Miami skyline. Developed by Property Markets Group in partnership with Greybrook Realty Partners, Mohari Hospitality, S2 Development, and Hilton, the 1,049-foot-tall structure will be the tallest building in Miami and Florida’s first supertall skyscraper, encompassing 1,738,999 square feet, featuring 1,067,777 square feet of residential space, 431,776 square feet of hotel space, 13,244 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 6,171 square feet of office space, 212,803 square feet of garage space across 11 stories. John Moriarty & Associates is the general contractor overseeing the construction.

Three New Developments Announced For Next Phase Of Water Street Tampa

Strategic Property Partners LLC (SPP) has announced plans for three new developments within Downtown Tampa’s 56-acre Water Street Tampa (WST) neighborhood. These projects include a residential condominium, an office complex, and an entertainment venue near the Amalie Arena. Slated for an area currently in development north of the 900 and 1000 blocks of East Cumberland Ave, the office and residential towers aim to expand the Water Street corridor. The proposed entertainment hub, north of Amalie Arena between South Morgan Street and South Jefferson Street, plans to house a service hotel, an event parking facility, and diverse entertainment spaces.

Construction has topped off on Forté on Flagler, a 25-story residential building at 1309 South Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. Designed by Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica with interiors by Jean-Louis Deniot and developed by a joint venture between Two Roads Development and Alpha Blue Ventures, the approximately 300-foot-tall structure will yield 41 residences in 4-bedroom half-floor configurations and a full-floor six-bedroom penthouse. Facing South Flager Drive to the east and Currie Crescent to the west, with the project’s sales gallery to the north and Related Companies’ South Flagler House site to the south, the building offers panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

New renderings have been revealed for Okan Tower, a 70-story mixed-use building under construction at 555 North Miami Avenue in Downtown Miami. Designed by Behar Font & Partners and developed by Okan Group, the 902-foot-tall, 914,124-square-foot structure will yield 399 residences, a 316-key hotel, along with 64,000 square feet of ‘Class A’ office space., and indoor and outdoor amenities. Witkin Hults + Partners is the landscape architect for the project, which is located on a 0.86-acre corner plot bound by North Miami Avenue to the west and Northeast 6th Street to the north.
