YIMBY Scopes Views From Above Miami Worldcenter In Downtown Miami

YIMBY recently went to check out views of construction from above Miami Worldcenter (MWC), a 27-acre world-class mixed-use development under construction in the Park West district of Downtown Miami. The $4 billion development, led and master planned by Miami Worldcenter Associates, a joint venture between master developers Art Falcone, Nitin Motwani and CIM Group, spans 10-blocks and includes immense residential, hotel, office and retail spaces across multiple buildings. The development stretches as far as Northeast 2nd Avenue on the east, Northwest 1st Avenue on the west, Northeast 11th Street on the north and Northeast 6th Street on the south.

PMG, E11EVEN Partners Submit FAA Application For 699-Foot-Tall E11EVEN Residences Beyond

The second E11EVEN-branded tower being planned by national investment and development firm Property Markets Group and E11EVEN Partners, led by Michael Simkins and Marc Roberts, is now under review by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The 65-story structure, dubbed E11Even Residences Beyond, is proposed to rise 699-feet, or 709-feet above sea level at 90 Northeast 11th Street in Miami’s Park West district, mirroring the planned height and floor count of the first tower, E11EVEN Hotel & Residences. 461 condominiums are planned to be developed from this project, which is designed by Sieger Suarez Architects with award-winning design firm AvroKO Hospitality Group handling interiors. The developers applied for building permits on June 29, 2022.

FAA Building Permits Filed For 897-Foot-Tall And 848-Foot-Tall Structures At Baccarat Site In Brickell

Applications for building permits have been submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for two structures at Related Group’s 3.9-acre development site in Brickell, Miami, where the developer plans the One Brickell waterfront-facing mixed-use complex with as many as three towers. The first set of permits reveal a filing for an 897-foot-tall structure, or 901-feet above sea level, specifically at 444 Brickell Avenue. A second set of permits were filed for an 848-foot-tall structure, or 852-feet above sea level, around the northwest corner of the site which is likely 99 Southeast 5th Street. Both permit applications were created and filed on July 15, 2022 and are now under review by the FAA.

Brightline Orlando Welcomes Two New Trainsets, Bright Pink 2 and Bright Green 2

Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly intercity rail welcomes two more trains to Orlando, “Bright Green 2” and “Bright Pink 2.” Brightline’s two trains arrived together at Brightline’s Vehicle Maintenance Facility located south of Orlando International Airport, adding to the fleet of trains that will carry passengers between Orlando and South Florida. Bright Green 2 and Bright Pink 2, six-car trains consisting of two locomotives and four passenger coaches each, left the Siemens Rolling Stock facility in Sacramento on July 8. In total they traveled 3,000 miles across 10 states en route to Florida.

OKO Group, Cain International Break Ground On 34-Story One River Luxury Apartment Tower in Downtown Fort Lauderdale

OKO Group and Cain International have broken ground on their next joint venture development, One River Fort Lauderdale, a 34-story tower located at 629 Southeast 5th Avenue that will yield 365,203-square-feet including 251 high-end apartments, 2,600 square feet of ground level retail space and a 6-story, 337-space parking garage. On Friday, July 22nd, a ceremonial groundbreaking was held at the site to commemorate the start of construction. Notable attendees included City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis, and Vice Mayor Ben Sorensen. The groundbreaking announcement follows recent news that the development team secured $97.2 million in financing from Bank OZK and JVP Management to help fund construction of the tower. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2024.
