On March 6, dozens of community leaders and elected officials gathered to commemorate the official groundbreaking of Gas Worx, a 50-acre mixed-use development in Ybor City, Tampa. Gas Worx, a joint venture between KETTLER and its founder and CEO, Darryl Shaw, is between the Ybor Historic District and Channel District. Designed by Design Collective with Bohler as the structural engineer and Sasaki as the urban planner, the development will include nearly 5,000 new residences, over 500,000 square feet of office space, and more than 140,000 square feet of new retail. Moreover, Gas Worx boasts more than 300 units of affordable housing – the biggest private investment in affordable housing in the city’s history.

Miami-based developer Related Group, in partnership with Rybovich, has completed Icon Marina Village, a pair of 24-story high-rise residential buildings at 4444 North Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. Designed by the renowned Arquitectonica, the development comprises two 24-story highrise rental towers offering 399 homes with interiors from V Starr, founded by tennis superstar Venus Williams. Balfour Beatty served as the general contractor for the building, which marks the completion of the first phase of the 20-acre Marina Village master-planned development.

Designed by Behar Font & Partners with De Los Reyes Engineering, Inc. as the structural engineer and developed by Great Neck, New York-based Namdar Group, the development is planned to yield 1,394 residential units, 7,984 square feet of ground floor commercial space, 336 vehicles parking spaces, and racks for 1,394 bicycles. Witkin Hults + Partners is the landscape architect, TWR Engineers is the MEP engineer, and Grāef is the civil engineer.
