Aimco, Kushner Submit Plans For 579-Foot-Tall Mixed-Use Tower At 200 W. Broward Blvd. In Downtown Fort Lauderdale

K-A 200 Broward JV LLC, a joint venture by Aimco, a Denver-based multifamily-focused real estate investment and development firm, and Kushner, a New York-based real estate developer, is requesting site plan approvals for 200 West Broward Boulevard, a 48-story, 579-foot-tall mixed-use building proposed for a prime 1.08-acre site along W. Broward Boulevard between Southwest 2nd and 3rd Avenues. This project is designed by local architect Adache Group Architects with landscaping from Witkin Hults + Partners and civil engineering by Flynn Engineering. The 618,084-square-foot tower would sit atop a 305,905-square-foot podium and comprise 430,298 square feet of residential space across 381 units, 7,527 square feet of commercial space, 180,000 square feet of combined amenity, tenant storage and service spaces, and 7 levels of parking for 434 vehicles. The building would become the tallest in Fort Lauderdale if approved and built, surpassing the planned 558-foot-tall 300 W. Broward tower next door, and representing one of four towers in the works for Broward Crossing, a 1,300 unit mixed-use development with office, retail and a potential hotel.

Merrimac Ventures Files Plans For 30-Story ArtsPark Lofts In Flagler Village, Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee (DRC) is scheduled to consider and review plans for ArtsPark Lofts, a 30-story mixed-use multifamily and commercial development proposed for 407 North Andrews Avenue in Flagler Village near the Brightline Fort Lauderdale Station. Designed by FSMY Architects & Planners with landscape architecture and civil engineering by KEITH and developed by Merrimac Ventures (Merrimac), a Fort Lauderdale-based development firm led by brothers Dev and Nitin Motwani, the project comprises 396,757 square feet of space including 289 residential units, 1,914 square feet of commercial space and a 6-story parking garage integrated into the podium for 359 vehicles. The DRC is scheduled to review the proposal for ArtsPark Lofts on Tuesday July 26, 2022

Conceptual Model Of Related Companies’ Equinox-Branded Development Designed By Frank Gehry Unveiled For Former Deauville Hotel Site

On July 20th, this past Wednesday, the Miami Beach City Commission voted 5-1 to move forward with the redevelopment plans of the former Deauville Beach Resort site at 6701 Collins Avenue in North Beach, Miami Beach. New York’s Related Companies, the development firm behind Hudson Hards and Deutsche Bank Center led by Stephen Ross, is leading the redevelopment of the property and has released the first glimpse of the proposed project designed by legendary expressionist architect Frank Gehry with a conceptual model unit presented at the commission meeting. The mixed-use project is to be Equinox-branded, and would comprise a 175-key high-end hotel and 150 luxury condominiums spread across two towers. Miami Beach residents are up next to vote on the fate of this project, and will be asked to approve zoning changes for increased height and density on November 8, 2022.

Administrative site plans have been filed with Miami-Dade County planners for Sunshine Residence, a 5-story transit-oriented mixed-use building proposed for 4110 Northwest 22nd Avenue in the Model City Urban Center District of Brownsville, Miami. Designed by Ricardo Muñiz-Guillet of MUVE Architecture and developed by Red Octopus LLC led by Walter Rua and Yanina Mauro, the approximately 57-foot-tall development comprises 22,938 square feet of space including 20 dwelling units and 3,122 square feet of commercial space; 3 units would be set aside for workforce housing. Plans were filed on July 20, 2022, and may be considered for review on August 15, 2022.

Sidley Austin LLP, an international law firm with almost $3 billion in revenue and 20 offices worldwide, has confirmed that it is opening its 21st office in Miami. Sidley will join the growing roster of world-leading professional services firms and other companies at 830 Brickell, the new 55-story Class-A+ office tower nearing completion in Miami’s Brickell Financial District. Sidley signed a three-floor, 60,000 square-foot lease at the 55-story tower, marking the largest new-to-market office lease signed in the city’s urban core this year. The building, developed in partnership by OKO Group and Cain International, is the first stand-alone Class A+ office tower to be built in Miami’s Brickell Financial District in over a decade and is nearly 70 percent leased ahead of its late-2022 completion.
