Demolition Permits Filed For Newgard Development Group’s Lofty Brickell Site At 99 SW 7th Street

Miami’s Department of Buildings has received an application for demolition permits from Newgard Development Group for 99 Southwest 7th Street in Brickell, where the developer is planning to build three towers. The interior lot sits across the street from Brickell City Centre, spans over 70,000 square feet, and is currently improved with a 20,00-square-foot commercial structure. Little detail is known of the project as a whole, but we do know the first of the three towers will be known as Lofty Brickell, a 35-story mixed-use building containing branded condos, high-end apartments and a hotel. The structure would rise approximately nearly 400-feet over the Miami River and feature designs from Arquitectonica.

Foundation Permits Filed For Miami’s First Supertall Skyscraper At 300 Biscayne Boulevard

Foundation permits have been filed for Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences, the city’s first supertall skyscraper planned to rise nearly 100 stories and approximately 1,049-feet at 300 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. The filing lists New York City and Miami-based Property Markets Group as the applicant, who is developing the mixed-use tower with Canada-based Greybrook Realty Partners. The application was submitted on October 27th, indicating there is to be site and soil improvements on several lots totaling 43,791 square feet with Keller North America listed as the contractor at the cost of $5,165,000.

Kolter Group Plans Another 41-Story Luxury Condo Tower In Downtown St. Petersburg

The developer behind two of St. Petersburg tallest towers, the 41-story One St. Petersburg and the under construction 35-story Saltaire, has announced plans to develop yet another project that is to fall within the ranks of the city’s tallest. Delray Beach-based Kolter Group is proposing a 41-story mixed-use building nearby at 200 Central Avenue, designed by SB Architects, the same architect that designed the aforementioned developments. The structure is projected to rise 450-feet, topped with a 30-foot-tall decorative crown, and yield 248 residential units, 6,100 square feet of ground floor retail, and 482 parking spaces.

Site Work Is Underway At JDS Development Group’s 64-Story 1 Southside Park

Sitework is underway at 1 Southside Park, a 64-story mixed-use mega project planned for 191 Southwest 12th Street in West Brickell. Designed by New York City-based SHoP Architects with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record and being developed by JDS Development Group, the project is expected to give way to two 773-foot-tall joint towers yielding over 1,100 multifamily units, nearly 200,000 square feet of Class A office space, a 189-key Treehouse Hotel, several high-end amenities and a 32,000-square-foot fire house. James Corner Field Operations is listed as the landscape architect.
