Brightline Opens New Stations In Boca Raton And Aventura

On December 20, intercity rail company Brightline and its partners in Boca Raton, Aventura, and Miami-Dade County, celebrated the ribbon cutting of its Aventura and Boca Raton train stations. Congressman Carlos Gimenez and Mayors Daniella Levine Cava, Scott Singer, and Howard Weinburg were joined by officials from the City of Boca, the City of Aventura, Miami-Dade County, and Brightline executives to officially launch the highly-anticipated opening of the two new stations. Construction Underway For 29-Story Tower At 307 SW 5th Street In Fort Lauderdale

Construction begins to pick up the pace on RIVR Lofts, a 29-story residential tower underway at 307 Southwest 5th Street in Fort Lauderdale’s Tarpon River Design & Entertainment District. Designed by CUBE3 Architects with Structural International Inc. as the structural engineer and Cadence as the landscape architect, the 335-foot-tall structure will contain 352 residential units and parking for over 300 vehicles. Moss & Associates is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Southwest 3rd and 4th Avenues – two blocks south of the New River.

New Renderings Reveal Refined Design For ‘The River District’ Under Construction In Brickell’s West Side

New renderings have surfaced of The River District, a massive 4-million-square-foot mixed-use development under construction on the west side of Brickell, Miami. Designed by Kobi Karp Architects with Rockwell Group and ID & Design International handling interiors and developed by Chetrit Group, the 6.2-acre project will give rise to four glass skyscrapers planned to yield approximately 1,961 residential units, 29,600 square feet of restaurant space, 12,020 square feet of retail, 40,000 square feet of office space, 17 marina slips, and 2,000 parking spaces across five phases of construction. The first phase, a 54-story – 648-foot-tall tower at 275 Southwest 6th Street, is already underway, with G.T. McDonald Enterprises as the general contractor and Tekton Construction as the structural contractor.

12-Story, 300-Room Themed Hotel Proposed For Jungle Island In Miami

Miami’s Urban Development Review Board (UDRB) will consider plans for a 12-story hotel proposed for Jungle Island at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail on Watson Island in Miami. Designed by EoA Architecture and developed by ESJ Capital Partners, the proposal calls for a botanical garden-themed hotel with 300 rooms and a 7-story parking garage with 965 spaces. The hotel would offer several amenities, including a second-story lobby, dining areas, meeting rooms, retail spaces, and a massive rooftop pool deck.

Developers Break Ground On WNWD21 At 2150 N. Miami Avenue In Wynwood, Miami

Miami-based real estate developer Related Group and private equity firm Rockpoint have broken ground on WNWD21, a new 12-story, two-towered mixed-use development consisting of 304 apartments, over 18,000 square feet of retail, 63,000 square feet of office space, and 7-level parking garage for over 500 vehicles. Located in the heart of the Wynwood at 2150 North Miami Avenue, the project is designed by Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates with interior design from ID & Design International (iddi Design). Beauchamp Construction Company is spearheading the construction, with completion expected for the third quarter of 2024.
