Orlando International Airport Sets Stage for Terminal C’s Phase Two Expansion

In a recent move signifying growth, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority greenlit a contract on October 18th, laying the groundwork for the next expansion phase of the newly inaugurated Terminal C at Orlando International Airport. As per the Orlando Business Journal, the authority responsible for managing both Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport endorsed a $1.09 million contract with Ricondo & Associates. This Chicago-based aviation consultancy, with a branch in Orlando, will commence outlining the development trajectory for the terminal’s forthcoming phase. Envisioned plans suggest the potential to more than double the existing gates of the south terminal. Currently, the terminal boasts 15 gates, with an additional four in the pipeline and various facilities.

Construction has commenced on the Bernie McCabe Second District Court of Appeal Courthouse in downtown St. Petersburg, located at 525 Mirror Lake Drive. This $59 million courthouse is near landmarks such as the Pinellas County Clerk of Court, St. Petersburg City Hall, and other government buildings. It bears the name of Bernie McCabe, the late State Attorney for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit, which serves both Pinellas and Pasco Counties.

Jacksonville-based real estate developer The Vestcor Companies, Inc., under the Ambar Station LLC, has filed an administrative site plan for a mixed-use development designed by Anillo Toledo Lopez Architecture in the Leisure City area of southern Miami-Dade County near Naranja, which is set to incorporate workforce housing. The 7.83-acre site is located at 27742 and 27860 South Dixie Highway. The property is currently under contract with 27742 South Federal Highway LLC, managed by Bruno and Maritza Ramos, based in Miami.

Florida-based developer Urban Network Capital Group (UNCG) has acquired a $24 million construction loan from LV Lending to develop The Flats Orlando, a 1.9-acre condo-hotel resort near Orlando’s central area. The development is a collaborative effort with ZKC and Tivoli Cove Capital. The project is expected to be completed by 2025.

Cam Group Acquires 2.05-Acre Site At 760 Ponce de Leon Boulevard In Coral Gables, Slated For Redevelopment

An affiliate of Miami-based Cam Group has acquired an older office building in Coral Gables for $18.5 million with redevelopment plans. B & B Investments Management, managed by Wilfred Braceras in Miami, sold the 2.05-acre site at 760 Ponce de Leon Blvd., along with 112 and 120 Avila Court, to 760 Ponce De Leon LLC, led by Pedro Camejo and Joel Campo of Cam Group. The buyer secured a $13 million mortgage from Granada Financial.
