Grand Station Miami At 240 North Miami Avenue Approaches Completion

Construction continues on Grand Station Miami, a 31-story, 322-foot-tall residential tower located at 240 North Miami Avenue in Downtown Miami’s Central Business District. Designed by Zyscovich Architects with Frances Anillo Toledo listed at the architect of record, the building is being developed through a public-private venture between Grand Station Partners, a partnership including developer Rovr Development and former Yankee Alex Rodriguez’s A-Rod Corp, and the Miami Parking Authority. Ortega Construction Company is the general contractor; B&J Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer.

Applications have been filed for the development of two 164,435-square-foot logistics and distribution warehouse buildings in the Tamiami municipality of Miami-Dade County. Located east of the intersection of Northwest 13th Street and Northwest 129th Avenue, the interior lot sits just north of the Dolphin Expressway and across the street from an existing logistics center. Prologis 2, LP and Miami-Dade Expressway Authority are listed as the owners of the application, represented by Tracey Slavens of Holland & Knight LLP.

Aston Martin Residences Continues Ascent In To Downtown Miami’s Skyline

Construction continues to make progress on Aston Martin Residences, a 816-foot-tall, 66-story luxury residential skyscraper in Downtown Miami. Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way, and rising on the northern mouth of the Miami River, the building is designed by BMA Arquitectos & Asociados and Revuelta Architecture International, and developed by G&G Business Developments in collaboration with Aston Martin. The development will yield 391 residential units, and is on track to soon become the city’s second tallest building.

Plans Submitted For Twin 35-Story Towers In Hollywood, Florida

Plans have been filed for two 35-story mixed use buildings at 1701 East Young Circle in Hollywood, Florida. Bounded by Tyler Street to the north, North 17t Avenue to the east, and Harrison Street to the south, the interior lot sits right across the street from Young Circle Park, and just a 5 minute drive away from Hollywood Beach. BTI Partners is listed as the owner of the applications under Young Circle Property, LLC.

The 474-Foot Civil Courthouse Set To Rise In Downtown Miami

The 92-year-old Miami-Dade County Courthouse at 73 Flagler Street may see a new neighbor rise across the street; the proposed 474-foot-tall, 23-story Miami-Dade County Civil and Probate Courthouse was approved by the Miami-Dade Rapid Transit Developmental Impact Committee back in February of 2021. Designed by HOK, the 537,968-square-foot courthouse building is anticipated to become one of the tallest governmental-use towers in Miami.

Miami World Tower Recieves FAA Approval To Rise 579 Feet

The Federal Aviation Administration has officially granted height approval for the Miami World Tower, a 53-story residential skyscraper at Nitin Motwani and Arthur Falcone’s Miami Worldcenter mixed-use mega development. Located at 700 Northeast 1st Avenue, the tower is cleared to rise 579-feet above ground, or 590-feet above sea level and deemed to have no substantial adverse effect on the navigable airspace. The project is being developed by Miami World Tower LLC, an affiliate of New York’s Lalezarian Properties, who purchased the site for $43,000,000 in May of 2019.

Proposal Submitted For Eureka Estates In West Perrine, Miami-Dade County

A proposal has been submitted to Miami-Dade County’s Zoning Department for the potential development of Eureka Estates. Approximately located at 18200 Southwest 108th Avenue in the West Perrine neighborhood, the developer seeks to construct a multi-building complex dedicated to workforce housing yielding 57,362 square feet of total residential floor area. Global Property Consultants LLC is listed as the owner of the application.

Envisioning The Future Supertalls Of The City Of Miami

In recent years, the city of Miami has seen an influx of proposals for supertall skyscrapers; this supertall is defined as a building reaching the height of 300 meters or greater, or a minimum of 984 feet. Various developers have put together elite teams of architects and engineers to bring the phenomenon to South Florida, yet as of today, none have been constructed. Skyscraper construction is no myth in the area as the city’s skyline is densely packed with hundreds of high rises, and perhaps even some that visually appear to come close to 300 meters, but a legitimate supertall has yet to come to fruition. This could be due to various factors, such as funding or engineering obstacles; maybe in the past the demand wasn’t there. But what we do know is that the FAA, the Federal Aviation Administration, has approved a handful of supertall skyscraper proposals. These are the most recently proposed and approved projects.

Plans have been submitted to the Department of Sustainable Development – Urban Design & Planning seeking approval for the construction of Parc 12 in the Poinciana Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Addressed as 412 – 438 Southeast 12th Court, the site sits on the northeastern corner of the neighborhood, bounded by SE 4th Ave. to the west and S Federal Highway to the east. The site is currently occupied by partially vacant land and 6 single family units. Michael Govern of Titn Croissant, LLC is listed as the owner of the application.

Addressed as 843-849 Southwest 14th Court, the site sits on the northeastern corner of SW 9th Ave. and SW 14th Ct., and currently is occupied by 2 single-story homes built in 1970 yielding 4 units in total. The new proposal looks to develop 8 two-story townhomes in a cluster development occupying 2 lots grossing 25,807 square feet in total site area. East Coast Realty is the owner of the applications under the 777 Townhomes, LLC.
