This past June, Florida YIMBY reported on Sunset Palms Luxury Townhomes, an upscale housing development in St. Petersburg. Developed by husband-and-wife duo Max and Kaitlin Vollmer, the venture will deliver five three-bedroom residences spanning 1,950 square feet. Now, we’ve learned of another venture in the developers’ pipeline, a project called “Historic Kenwood Homes”.
The Residences at 400 Central in St. Petersburg has officially topped out at 46 stories, marking a significant milestone in the construction of the 515-foot-tall tower, which is now the tallest residential building on Florida’s Gulf Coast and the tallest structure in St. Petersburg. Once completed, the mixed-use building will feature 301 luxury condominiums, ground-floor retail spaces, and commercial offices, with occupancy expected by mid-2025.
Belleair Development Group is set to revitalize the 98-year-old Westminster Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg’s Old Northeast neighborhood. The property, vacant for over a decade, will be transformed into a single-family home and two townhomes. Originally designed in 1926 by architect Archie Parrish, the site has been a local historic landmark.
St. Petersburg officials have approved a boutique condominium project that will also preserve a historic home built in 1937.
Plans for the Waldorf Astoria Residences St. Petersburg, a 49-story tower set to become the city’s tallest building, have been significantly revised. The mixed-use luxury condominium tower, to be located at 150 2nd Avenue South in downtown St. Petersburg, has undergone a dramatic redesign, now featuring new architectural plans by Miami-based CUBE 3. Initially designed by New York-based SLCE Architects, the changes represent a shift in the project’s vision, with CUBE 3 stepping in to reshape the iconic structure. The project is a joint venture between Miami’s Property Markets Group and the City Center office building owners, including Feldman Equities, City Office REIT, and Tower Realty Partners.
