Developers are continuing to move forward with Lake House in St. Petersburg, although it has scaled back the venture significantly amid community concerns. Initially, the residential tower was to measure 18 stories above grade and offer 77 units.

Alongside the hotel, The Central will feature the city’s first new Class A office space in decades, over 500 public parking spaces, workforce housing, retail space, and a monument by nationally recognized artist Ya La’ford, honoring the Courageous 12.
Sirata Beach Resort is getting a massive expansion that will add more than 300 rooms, our sources indicate. As it stands, the St. Petersburg hotel currently has 382 guest rooms. With the expansion, plans call for the construction of two mid-rise hotels, measuring nine and 10 stories above grade.
In 2022, developers Third lake Capital and Echelon proposed “3rd & 3rd,” a high-rise residential complex in St. Petersburg, Florida. Now, our sources have reported that construction has officially started on the 33-story tower. The 0.88-acre build site was previously home to a low-rise building and parking lot.
After reaching completion in 2022, Skyway Lofts is getting a second phase. Dubbed “Skyway Lofts II,” the venture will feature 66 affordable housing units, with many reserved for those making 60 percent of the area median income (AMI).
