A build-to-rent (BTR) community is slated for the former site of an airport in Rockledge, Florida.

Woodfield Development has completed and opened Tides at Palm Bay, a $100 million mixed-use residential and retail development at 2485 Port Malabar Boulevard NE in Palm Bay, Florida. The project includes 318 luxury apartment units across two five-story buildings and townhomes, along with 19,000 square feet of commercial space. The development team includes CBG Building Company as general contractor, Charlan Brock Architects as architect, and ID & Design International as interior designer.

Construction has commenced on Ekos at Rockledge Park, a $38.2 million affordable housing development at 1505 Cogswell Street in Rockledge, Brevard County. Developed by McDowell Housing Partners (MHP), the project will deliver 100 affordable apartment homes for households earning between 30 and 70 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). According to the developer, the project marks the company’s 18th affordable housing development to begin construction in Florida since 2019 and its first in Brevard County.

Miami-Dade County, in partnership with two developers, has plans to redevelop an aging multi-family housing project. As it stands, Gwen Cherry 7 comprises 24 public housing units in multiple two-story buildings.

2200 Brickell, a five-story luxury condominium at 2200 Brickell Avenue in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, has received a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) and has begun welcoming residents. Developed by Aria Development Group, Largo, and Place Projects, the building was designed by Revuelta Architecture International with interiors by ODA. The completed development yields 103 residences, including one to four-bedroom homes, penthouses, and private garden villas. Occupancy is now underway following the issuance of the TCO.
