Miami’s Building Department Issues Demolition Permit To Developers For Casa Bella Site In Downtown Miami

On January 30, Miami’s Building Department approved a permit to demolish a 3-story office building located at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard. This demolition will clear the way for constructing Casa Bella by B&B Italia, a 55-story luxury residential condo tower designed by world-renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica, with interiors being designed by Piero Lissoni. The scope of work, estimated to cost $800,000, will involve the clearance of 249,978 square feet, and BG Group has been contracted as the demolition contractor.

Located at 601 North Miami Avenue, in the heart of Downtown Miami, the 33-story residential tower will offer 450 fully furnished, ready-to-rent homes purposely designed, constructed, and licensed to allow for seamless listing on all leading home share platforms (subject to applicable laws and restrictions). Designed by architects at Cohen Freedman Encinosa and interiors by AVRO|KO, The Crosby is scheduled to complete construction in the first quarter of 2025; Beauchamp Construction is the general contractor.

The Federal Aviation Administration is reviewing building permit applications for The Crosby, a 33-story mixed-use building planned at 601 North Miami Avenue within the 27-acre Miami Worldcenter mixed-use complex in Park West, Downtown Miami. Designed by Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates and developed by Related Group and Merrimac Ventures under the DT G Block LLC, the project will yield 450 fully finished and furnished condominium units spread across 387,355 square feet with interiors by AvroKO, as well as 22,000 square feet of amenities and 3,370 square feet of retail space. Beauchamp Construction is the general contractor for the project.

New renderings have been released for Rivage, a planned 275-foot residential building at 10245 Collins Avenue in the village of Bal Harbour, Florida. Designed by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill (SOM) with interiors by Rottet Studio and developed by a joint venture partnership between the Related Group, Two Roads Development, and Rockpoint, the 24-story tower will comprise 61 residential units and over 25,000 square feet of amenities. Related Group Enters Joint Venture To Develop The Bahia Mar Mixed-Use Complex In Fort Lauderdale

Tate Capital, Rok Enterprises Inc., and Related Group (Related) have finalized a joint venture agreement to co-develop the new master site plan for the much-awaited Bahia Mar mixed-use complex in Fort Lauderdale. As part of the joint venture, the parties will work in lockstep with the internationally acclaimed architecture firm Arquitectonica to reimagine the project to address the needs directly and wants of the Fort Lauderdale community. This includes specific accommodations for the long-term hosting of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has received building permit applications to continue work on RD Las Olas, a 45-story mixed-use building under construction at 201 South Federal Highway in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Designed by Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates and developed by Miami-based The Related Group (Related), the tower is destined to become the second tallest in Fort Lauderdale, comprising 300 residential units along with approximately 3,200 square feet of ground floor retail, a parking garage of 453 spaces and amenities such as a 10th-floor deck with a club room, a health club, a pool, and a spa. Balfour Beatty is serving as the general contractor with Baker Concrete Construction as the shell contractor and PTE Systems International, LLC providing post-tension materials and equipment

Developers Break Ground On WNWD21 At 2150 N. Miami Avenue In Wynwood, Miami

Miami-based real estate developer Related Group and private equity firm Rockpoint have broken ground on WNWD21, a new 12-story, two-towered mixed-use development consisting of 304 apartments, over 18,000 square feet of retail, 63,000 square feet of office space, and 7-level parking garage for over 500 vehicles. Located in the heart of the Wynwood at 2150 North Miami Avenue, the project is designed by Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates with interior design from ID & Design International (iddi Design). Beauchamp Construction Company is spearheading the construction, with completion expected for the third quarter of 2024.

New construction permits have been filed for Casa Bella by B&B Italia, a 55-story residential condominium building planned for 1400 Biscayne Boulevard in the northern section of Miami’s downtown corridor, just south of Edgewater. Designed by Arquitectonica with landscape architecture from Enzo Enea and developed between real estate developers Related Group and Alta Developers, the 648-foot-tall development will comprise 312 luxury residential units ranging from one to four bedrooms sized between 711 to 2,187 square feet, including select marquee penthouses ranging from 2,605 to 5,890 square feet. Units will feature stunningly-designed interiors by Lissoni New York in collaboration with high-end Italian furniture company B&B Italia. Coastal Construction is listed as the general contractor.
