Swiss-Italian global cruise line MSC Cruises and Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri Infrastructure recently broke ground at PortMiami on North America’s upcoming largest cruise terminal capable of berthing three next‐generation cruise ships simultaneously and turning around 36,000 passengers a day. Located at the eastern most end of Dodge Island, along Port Boulevard, the new 4‐story, 492,000-square-foot, state‐of‐the‐art terminal will become an instant architectural wonder and Miami landmark. Designed by Miami‐based Arquitectonica led by visionary Bernardo Fort-Brescia, the terminal projects a powerful wave-like, flowing profile that takes advantage of the length of the site.

Fortune International Group And Château Group Announce The St. Regis Residences In Sunny Isles Beach

Fortune International Group and Château Group have officially announced the highly-anticipated St. Regis Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, an oceanfront ultra-luxury residential development comprised of two standalone 62-story towers planned to rise at 18801 Collins Avenue. Designed by global architecture firm Arquitectonica with interiors by São Paulo-based Anastassiadis and landscaping by EDSA, the development will be situated on 435 linear feet of waterfront property with panoramic views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway. The South Tower will be the first to enter the market with 194 residences ranging from two-to-four bedrooms and including penthouses. Turnberry Associates, the developer behind the Turnberry Ocean Club Residences in Sunny Isles Beach and the upcoming Grand Hyatt Miami Beach, has filed plans for Two Turnberry, a 14-story glass-clad Class-A office tower proposed for 2750 Northeast 199th Street near Aventura Mall and the new Aventura Brightline Station currently under construction. The development would connect the Aventura Mall to the Brightline station via a pedestrian bridge crossing over Biscayne Boulevard and Dixie Highway.Designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica, the building would include approximately 240,000 square feet office space, 20,000 square feet of retail space, a 20,000-square-foot landscaped amenity deck and 720 parking spaces.

Demolition Permits Filed For 30 Northeast 39th Street In Miami’s Design District

Total demolition permits have been filed for a single-story building at 30 Northeast 39th Street in Miami’s Design District. The 6,232-square-foot structure was built in 1920 according to property records, and was used as a commercial building with retail purposes. The interior lot spans 6,756 square feet and is located on the northeast corner of the block, bound by NE 39th St. on the North and NE Miami Ct. on the West. This parcel of land, along with the 14,434-square-foot parcel 3825 N. Miami Ave. on the northwest corner of the block, will eventually make way for The Ursa, a 15-story Class-A office building designed by Arquitectonica and developed by Sun King LLC, an entity affiliated with Design District real estate developer Dacra led by CEO and President Craig Robins. The development was originally proposed to yield 180,000 square feet of leasable office space and 6,800 square feet of ground floor retail with museum-quality exterior public art and interior art curated by Daniel Arsham.

Construction is expected to commence in the Spring of 2023 for the Grand Hyatt Miami Beach, a 17-story hotel and commercial development planned for 1701 Convention Center Drive in City Center, Miami Beach. Designed by Arquitectonica with EoA and Stonehill Taylor as the interior designers and developed by MB Mixed Use Development, LLC, a joint venture between real estate developers Terra Group and Turnberry Associates, the development is projected to yield 702,607 square feet of space including 800 hotel rooms, 90,000 square feet of indoor meeting/conference space across 4 floors and 10,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space, 15,000 square feet of retail space, 5 food and beverage outlets and 320 parking spaces. Miami and Los Angeles-based Americaribe is the general contractor; Hyatt Hotels Corporation will manage operations at the property.

Mast Capital Files Plans For Three Towers At Former ‘Capital At Brickell’ Site In Miami

Mast Capital has officially filed plans with Miami’s Urban Development Review Board for 1420 South Miami Avenue, a three-towered mixed-use development proposed to be constructed at the former site of Capital at Brickell. The property is bound by South Miami Avenue on the East, Southwest 14th Terrace on the South, Southwest 1st Avenue on the West, and Southwest 14th Street on the North, across the street from SLS Brickell, Infinity at Brickell and One Broadway. The development is comprised of 2,727,765 square feet of new construction including 1,255 residential units, 18,969 square feet of commercial space and 1,646 parking spaces. The three towers will rise approximately 604-feet, 691-feet, and 939-feet across 50, 59, and 80 stories. Arquitectonica is listed as the design architect with ArquitectonicaGEO as the landscape architect.
