Design Unveiled For Fort Lauderdale’s New Police Headquarters At 1300 W Broward Boulevard

The modern design of the new Fort Lauderdale Police Headquarters has been unveiled in a recent submission to the city’s Design Review Committee seeking approvals for the proposed facility in Downtown’s Sailboat Bend neighborhood. The new building is set to rise 3-stories and approximately 50-feet at 1300 West Broward Boulevard, the address of the current facility, and occupy a footprint of about 178,605 square feet. Within that footprint, the building will yield 190,980 square feet for the headquarters including a community facility, and 222,081 SF for the parking garage; 413,061 square feet in total. The architectural arm of AECOM is responsible for the design, with Orlando-based KEITH onboard as the civil engineer.

Coconut Grove-based Housing Trust Group has submitted plans to the Development Review Committee of Fort Lauderdale seeking approvals for Mount Hermon Apartments, a 7-story multi-unit apartment complex planned to rise 65-feet on property addressed as 750 Northwest 4th Street in the Dorsey Riverbend neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale. The interior lot has approximately 280-feet of frontage along NW 8th Ave., with 125-feet of frontage on NW 3rd St. and 200-feet of frontage on NW 4th St., located across the street from Mt Hermon AME Church.

Renderings, plans and diagrams have been revealed in an application filing to Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee seeking approvals for 509NE3 Condominiums, a 16-story mixed-use building planned for 509 Northeast 3rd Street, hence the name, in the booming Flagler Village district. Designed by Fort Lauderdale-based The Tamara Peacock Company Architects and developed by Brooklyn-based 509 NE 3 LLC, the project will yield 63,203 square feet, including 26 residential units and up to 1000 square feet of commercial space.
