After a series of public meetings and a multi-month review process, Seaward Development has secured all necessary approvals from the Sarasota City Commission to proceed with the redevelopment of the Mira Mar property in downtown Sarasota. At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, July 7, the City Commission unanimously approved a zoning change for the site, officially designating the 1.2-acre property as part of the downtown bayfront district. This follows the commission’s initial approval of a comprehensive plan amendment on May 19, 2025.
