Magellan Housing, Royal American Development, and Miami Heat legend Udonis Haslem have joined forces to purchase a 6.3-acre build site in Miami-Dade County. The Real Deal reports that the trio purchased the parcel from the City of Miami for $1.5 million.
Permits have been submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration for a 731-foot-tall structure at 99 Southwest 6th Street in Brickell, Miami. While specific plans for the site have not yet been disclosed to the public, this tower would stand adjacent to LOFTY Brickell, a 44-story mixed-use tower that commenced construction earlier this year. The site is bordered by the Miami River to the north and Southwest 6th Street to the south. Property records indicate ownership by 99SW7 HOLDINGS LLC, an affiliate of Newgard Development Group. This entity possesses over 2 acres of assembled sites earmarked for redevelopment featuring a range of mixed-use towers, including One Brickell Riverfront, which encompasses LOFTY Brickell and is situated at 99 Southwest 7th Street.
Miami’s Building Department has recently issued a construction permit for The Crosby, an upcoming 33-story mixed-use building located within Miami Worldcenter at 601 North Miami Avenue in downtown Miami. Designed by Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates Architects with interiors envisioned by AvroKO and developed by DT G Block LLC, a joint venture between Related Group and Merrimac Ventures, the 377-foot-tall structure will encompass 450 condominium units, accommodating short-term rentals, along with more than 22,000 square feet of amenities, a rooftop bar and restaurant, and 3,370 square feet of retail space. Notably, the development will omit parking facilities. Beauchamp Construction serves as the general contractor.
Kimco Realty, a New York-based developer, hopes to get approval for two 12-story towers in Kendall, Florida. The high-rise buildings would offer a total of 630 apartments.
