Naftali Group Closes On 1.3-Million-Square-Foot Miami Worldcenter Site With Plans to Build Two Supertall Residential Skyscrapers

New York-based developer, Naftali Group, a leading privately held global real estate development and investment firm, recently announced it has closed on a development site allowing 1.3 million square feet of new construction at 1016 Northeast Second Avenue in Miami Worldcenter, which spans 27 acres near Downtown Miami and is the second largest active private development in the United States with $4 billion in total investments. Naftali, in partnership with Cara Real Estate Management, purchased the site for $40.5 million. Mika Mattingly, Executive Managing Director at Colliers’ Urban Core Division, represented both Naftali, and Akara Partners, the seller, in the off-market transaction. According to a press release, the developer is planning to construct two supertall residential towers, which would be the first for Miami Worldcenter. Pre-sales for 1016 Northeast Second Avenue are slated for the end of this year.

Rosso Development and Midtown Development reveals interiors for the first ever The Standard Residences, a 12-story mixed-use development planned for 3100 Northeast 1st Avenue in Midtown, Miami. Designed by international architecture firm Arquitectonica with interiors by Urban Robot Associate, the project will yield 228 move-in ready residences while simultaneously allowing flexible short-rental programs with 30-day minimum stays up to 12 times per year, as well as 34,000 square feet of amenities and 10,000 square feet of ground floor retail.

Alture Westland is nearing completion in Hialeah, Florida. The $30 million venture, located on the former premises of a Ramada Inn, will offer 251 luxury median-priced units. According to a 2021 report from the Miami-Herald, layout plans comprise studios and one-bedroom units, ranging from 340 square feet to 600 square feet each.

New Construction Permits Filed For Related Group’s 73-Story Baccarat Residences Condo Tower In Brickell

New construction permits have been filed for Baccarat Residences, a 73-story residential skyscraper located at 99 Southeast 5th Street in Brickell. The permit filing has revealed the structure will top out at 835-feet, and will contain 806,326 square feet of space including 796,326 square feet of space designated for residential use across 352 condominium units and 10,000 square feet of space for a restaurant. The corporation listed as the owner of the application is 444 Brickell Partners, LLC, an affiliate of the Related Group (Related) led by prolific real estate developer Jorge M. Perez, who is often referred to as the condo king of Miami. Related is developing the highly anticipated tower with SH Hotels & Resorts, who manages the Baccarat Hotel in New York. The building is designed by Miami-based international architecture firm Arquitectonica with lavish interiors by New York City-based Meyers Davis, and landscaping will be handled by Enzo Enea of Zurich-based Enea Garden Design. John Moriarty and Associates of Florida Inc. is listed as the general contractor.

ODP Architecture & Design Releases Updated Renderings Of Planned Supertall At One Bayfront Plaza

ODP Architecture & Design has released new renderings of One Bayfront Plaza, a planned mixed-use supertall skyscraper projected to rise well over 1,000-feet at 100 South Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. The renderings were first spotted on the architects official website, listed as an ‘on-going’ 2,015,457-square-foot building of mixed-uses, meaning the design may not final just yet. Nonetheless, the new design is a major update from the previous iteration from Kohn Pedersen Fox approved in 2017. The 2.26-acre property is owned by Northwestern Capital Corporation, an affiliate of Florida East Coast Realty led by Tibor Hollo, who developed Miami’s current tallest building – the 868-foot-tall Panorama Tower. The new building will rise from the site of an existing 19-story, 530,000-square-foot office tower, built in 1958. The developer plans to demolish the structure, but demolition permits have yet to be filed for the site.
