Construction continues to advance at FAT Village, the 5.6-acre mixed-use redevelopment transforming a key portion of Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village. Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) with DLR Group leading the office design and developed by Hines and Urban Street Development, the $500 million master plan is reshaping the former arts district into a contemporary, walkable destination featuring multiple towers. The project aims to deliver approximately 600 multifamily units, along with expansive office, retail, and cultural spaces.
City Park at West Kendall, a transformational 990-acre master-planned community designed to reshape the future of West Kendall, has officially filed its application with Miami-Dade County. Led by The Easton Group, Lennar, and MPKA, LLC, with SWA Group overseeing master planning and design, the $2 billion project aims to alleviate some of Miami-Dade’s worst traffic congestion by creating a true 15-minute city, a pedestrian-oriented community where residents can live, work, learn, and play without long commutes.
McDowell Housing Partners (MHP) has announced the financial closing and start of construction for Ekos Creekside, a 160-unit affordable housing development in Naples. The project is the first in Collier County to break ground under Florida’s Live Local Act and marks Miami-based McDowell Housing Partners’ 15th affordable housing project statewide and fourth in the Naples market. The development team includes DeAngelis Diamond as general contractor, FK Architecture as architect of record, and Davidson Engineering as civil engineer. Completion is anticipated in the second quarter of 2027.
Exterior work is nearing completion on the second phase of Society Las Olas, a 42-story residential tower at 140 Southwest 2nd Street in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Designed by FSMY Architects + Planners and developed by Property Markets Group (PMG) in partnership with Toronto-based Greybrook Realty Partners, the 450-foot-tall project represents a major milestone for what will become the city’s largest multi-residential development. John Moriarty & Associates serves as the general contractor, with full completion expected in early 2026.
