The City of Miami has issued a total demolition permit for the site of 2000 Wynwood, paving the way for a new 12-story mixed-use development in the heart of Wynwood. The permit, approved on January 2 and issued on January 6, lists BG Group as the demolition contractor, with work estimated at $13,000. The permit was initially applied for in July 2023.
Opal Sol, a beachfront resort in Clearwater Beach, has nearly finished construction. The venture’s slated for a mid-February opening, where it’ll serve as the adjacent Opal Sands resort’s “sol mate”.
Helm Equities has unveiled plans for The Helm, a $500 million mixed-use tower slated to rise in Miami’s Design District. The new project will include residential units alongside commercial and retail spaces, transforming the site into a high-density, transit-oriented development by leveraging the opportunities provided by Florida’s Live Local Act.

The site spans 1.6 acres and includes three parcels at 3601 Biscayne Boulevard, 345 NE 36th Street, and 409 NE 36th Street. Located at a key intersection linking Edgewater with the Miami Design District, the property offers convenient access to Midtown, Wynwood, and Downtown Miami.
