Alchemy ABR-Investment Partners Acquires Wynwood Development Site For 12-Story Luxury Residential Project

Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners (Alchemy) a fully integrated New York-based real estate development and investment firm, announced the acquisition of 18 NW 23rd Street in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. The 36,079-square-foot property was purchased by Alchemy for $18,000,000 in a deal that closed on September 29, 2022. The mixed-use site will be developed into a 12-story luxury residential building with 186 units, multiple retail spaces, and a parking garage. Local architects Arquitectonica and MKDA have been commissioned to design the building with construction commencing in 2024.

Developers File Plans For The Underline’s Expansion To Metrorail Douglas Station

Miami-Dade County planners will consider plans to expand The Underline recreational trail into the Douglas Road Metrorail Station property located at the northwest corner of the intersection between Douglas Road and South Dixie Highway. The county-owned site is approximately 7.54 net acres in size and includes the mixed-use transit-oriented development Link at Douglas by 13th Floor Investments and Adler Group, the Douglas Road Metrorail Station, and the proposed Underline expansion, which would run more or less below the Metrorail tracks. The trail’s expansion into this region of Miami, designed by Arquitectonica with ArquitectonicaGEO, makes up part of Phase 2 which also includes the section under the Coconut Grove Metrorail Station. Phase 2 will span 2.14 miles between Southwest 13th Street to Southwest 19th Avenue and is scheduled to complete in the Summer of 2023.

Supertall One Brickell City Centre Gets Unanimous Approval From Miami City Commissioners

Miami City Commissioners unanimously approved an amendment to the Special Area Plan (SAP) for One Brickell City Centre, a 1,049-foot supertall commercial building planned for 700 Brickell Avenue in the heart of Miami’s Brickell Financial District. The vote allows for the expansion of One Brickell City Centre’s floor plates, which will set a new precedent as the largest floor plates ever approved in Miami. The floor plates will range from 40,000 square feet on the highest floors to 60,000 square feet on the lower floors. Designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica and developed in partnership between Hong Kong-based Swire Properties and New York City’s Related Companies, the 80-story tower will comprise 1.6 million square feet of Class A office space and is slated to become the tallest commercial building in Florida. Construction is expected to begin in early 2023.
