Neology Life Development Group Breaks Ground On Their 14-Story ‘The Julia’ Residential Tower In Allapattah

Neology Life Development Group, led by real estate developer Lissette Calderon, has broken ground on The Julia, a 14-story mixed-use building set to rise at 1625 Northwest 20th Street in Allapattah. Designed by Coral Gables-based Behar Font & Partners, the new structure will soon go vertical on a 73,442-square-foot interior lot nestled in between Northwest 15th and 17th Avenues, with Northwest 21st Street on the north. The project is named after Miami’s founder, Julia Tuttle, and is planned to yield approximately 426,000 square feet of new construction including 323 residential units, 15,000 square feet of ground floor retail, and 336 parking spaces.

Demolition Set To Begin Soon At The Site Of The Upcoming 41-Story Miami Station Tower

Demolition is set to begin on an un unfinished concrete parking garage at the site of the upcoming Miami Station, a 41-story mixed-use tower planned for 525 Northwest 2nd Avenue in Miami’s Overtown District. According to a recent publication on The Next Miami, the Related Group filed a notice of commencement on October 20th stating they will begin to demolish the structure, remnants of the former Krystal Tower that halted construction due to the Great Recession of 2008. BG Group is listed as the demolition contractor for the Miami Station development site.

Miami-based developer RAB Builders LLC, led by Rolando Benitez and Tino Diaz, awaits approvals from the Urban Development Review Board for Renaissance at The Gables, an 8-story extended care facility proposed for 2340 Southwest 32nd Avenue in Coral Way, Miami. Designed by The Architects Group with Comas Design Group as the landscape architect, the structure would rise approximately 104-feet nestled in between Southwest 23rd Street and 23rd Terrace, occupying the entire western frontage on Southwest 32nd Avenue. The building is projected to yield 208,545 square feet of new construction including 269 residential units, a 3-story parking garage and an expansive zen passive recreational area for residents and staff.

830 Brickell’s Glass Façade Installation And Vertical Ascent Continues Making Progress In Miami’s Financial District

Construction is steadily ascending at 830 Brickell, a 55-story Class-A office building in Brickell, Miami’s Financial District. Located on the southwest corner of Brickell Plaza (Southeast 1st Avenue) and Southeast 8th Street, the 650,000-square-foot tower is designed by acclaimed firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture with Revuelta Architecture International as the architect of record, and is being developed between OKO Group and Cain International. The reinforced concrete superstructure is projected to top out at 724-feet, and feature lavish interiors by Italian designer Iosa Ghini Associati. Civic Construction Company Inc. is the general contractor.

Waldorf Astoria Miami Submitted To Urban Development Review Board And Unveils New Renderings

The highly anticipated Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences has been submitted to Miami’s Urban Development Review Board for approvals. With the application now made public, specific details and new renderings have been revealed for Miami’s first supertall skyscraper. New York City and Miami-based Property Markets Group and Canada-based Greybrook Realty Partners are planning on building a 93-story mixed-use building designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with Carlos Ott. The tower would rise 1,036-feet, or 1,048-feet above sea level, and span 1,608,457 square feet across 9 glass offset cubes including 461 residential units, 205 hotel rooms, high-end amenities and 1,321 square feet for commercial uses; an adjacent structure of 431,862 square feet will built for 694 parking spaces.
